U10-U14 Finals to be played Dec 7th and 10th
District Cup Finals for U10 thru U14 teams will be played on Dec 7th at Elk Grove BSP and Dec 10th at Bryte Park.  District Cup Finals for U16 and U19 teams were played at BSP on Dec 19th.  A schedule for all Finals is available in 'Downloads' (as a pdf file) along with a list of Finals pairings and results.  A summary of all results through the Dec 3rd and 4th weekend is also available in the 'Results' section of 'Downloads'.
U10-U14 Schedules were mailed Tuesday (Nov 15th)
The schedule packages for U10 thru U14 teams were mailed Tuesday evening, Nov 15th.  Coaches should receive their package before their teams play their last regular season game on Nov 19th.

A number of documents are now available as pdf files in 'Downloads' (on the above menu bar).  The files include a seeded team listing showing the locations and game times for round-robin play.  Note that U16 & U19 teams have already played their round-robin series, the U10 thru U14 teams begin on page 3 of the list.  The 2016 District Cup Rules, schedule for Finals, and a sample standard schedule for round-robin play are also in 'Downloads'.  Note that some tournament flights use a modified schedule rather than the standard one, and that the seeded list is subject to change.

In the team listing, the Convener (the 'Host' coach) for each flight is indicated by a '>>' symbol.  (A single '>' character indicates an assistant Host when two three team flights play at the same field.)  There will be a Mandatory meeting for Conveners on Monday evening, Nov 28th.  If you are a Host coach, please plan to be at this meeting.  Host coaches will receive additional information about the Convener's meeting in their schedule package.

All team enrollment is closed as of midnight Monday, Nov 7th.  U16 and U19 teams will play on Nov 12th and 13th; their Finals will be on Nov 19th at the Cherry Island Soccer Complex.  The U12 Cup Challenge Finals will be played on Wednesday evening, Dec 7th at the Elk Grove BSP complex.  U12 'A' Group Finals, and all U14 Finals will be played at Bryte Park on Dec 10th.

As of the close of District Cup entries, and as posted on the CYSA website, none of the enrolled U10 teams had entered the Cal North Founders' Cup which plays on Dec 10th in Morgan Hill.  As a result, all U10 Finals will be played on Dec 10th at Bryte Park.  If you have decided that you now do wish to enter Founders Cup, you must contact us before you enter in order to avoid a possible District Cup Final match or Founders' Cup round-robin match forfeit.

High School and District Cup Play
An informational paper (prepared by Jason Lynch of the East Sacramento club) on eligibility for High School play and the District VI Cup tournament has been placed in 'Downloads'.

Enrollment in the 2016 District VI Cup tournament is now closed.  District Cup (for U10 through U19 teams) is one of two 'end of season' tournaments open only to Recreational teams in District VI.  The other is the Ernie Hazeltine SoccerFest for U8 through U14 teams.  You cannot play in both of these events as they play on the same date.  Note also that Competitive teams may not participate in District Cup; the Commissioner's Cup tournament was created in 2012 for District VI teams playing in CYSA's competitive league (CCSL).  District Cup round-robin play for U16 and U19 teams is on Nov 12th and 13th; Finals will be held Nov 19th.  District Cup round-robin play for U10, U12 and U14 teams is on Dec 3rd and 4th; Finals will be held Dec 10th (Dec 7th for U12 Cup Challenge teams).

Please review the detailed information on team responsibilities and seeding contained in the District Cup and SoccerFest application package (available by clicking 'Downloads' on the menu bar). The application package is an Adobe pdf document that you may review online and/or print.  Although most teams will submit an online entry to SoccerFest or District Cup, you may also mail a printed application (page 5 of the package) if you prefer to enter by mailed application and check.

The District Cup tournament provides a more competitive level of play than SoccerFest, but as with SoccerFest, it is also seeded into multiple levels.  The Cup Challenge group is for the most skilled teams; additional groups are formed as the number of entries permit.  Each seeding group consists of six to ten teams split into two flights of three, four or five teams each.  Teams play two, three, or four games in round-robin format on the first weekend.  Flight winners meet in a final match for their group the following Saturday.   Players on all participating teams will receive Tournament pins, and there are first and second place awards for all players on teams that play in a Final.  The team winning the final match in each of the Cup Challenge groups will also be awarded the perpetual District VI Cup trophy for their age-group.

CYSA also offers a State level end of season tournament for Recreational teams - Founders' Cup.  See the online CalNorth Team Manual for additional information.  Founders’ Cup U10 & U12 play is on the Dec 10/11 weekend and Founders’ Cup U14/U16/U19 play takes place on the Oct 29/30 weekend.
