Registration FAQ

  • Where do I register at?: You can register here online, or you can contact secretary@whysc.org to have a paper registration form mailed to you.
  •
  • Who do I send my child's birth certificate to? Our mailing address for all club business is: WHYSC, PO Box 1375, South Bend, WA 98586. We only need a copy of your child's birth certificate if we have not received one in the past two years. If you have sent one in already, please do not send another as your child's age has already been verified. If you are not sure, contact secretary@whysc.org to see if you need to send one or not.
  • How much is the registration fee?: For summer season the fee is $50 for regular registration and $60 for late registration. The last day for regular registration for 2017 is May 26th. For fall season, the fee is $60 for regular registration and $70 for late registration. There is a $20 discount if the player also participated in this years summer season. The last day for regular registration for 2017 is July 31st.
  • Who do I make a check out to for my registration?: WHYSC or Willapa Harbor Youth Soccer Club.
  • Can I pay my registration fee with a debit/credit card?: Yes! We have made this option available this past fall season. At the moment you can pay online through Paypal, but very soon we'll have the online payment option fully integrated into the registration process. If you prefer, you can also mail in a check.
  • Do I have to mail in a birth certificate?: Yes, a birth certificate is required for each player to verify their age and that they are placed in the accurate bracket. If you have sent one in in the past two years then we have it on file already and you do not need to send another one. If you are not sure if you need to send it, contact secretary@whysc.org to see if you need to send one or not.
  • What ages is soccer open to?: Soccer is open to ages 4 through 14 for summer season and ages 8 and up for fall traveling season.
  • Can my child play if they are under 4 years old?: Yes, if they will be turning 4 during 2017 then they can play. If they will not be turning 4 until 2018, then they cannot play until next year.
  • Can my child play in an age bracket below their age?: No, due to insurance requirements children cannot play in the age bracket below them. They may play up a level with parent and coach permission however. Contact a coach or the Willapa Harbor Youth Soccer Club board members if you are interested in your child playing in a higher bracket.
  • What is the cut-off date for age?: Players have to register in the age bracket of the age they are on December 31st of this year. For example, if your child turns 6 on August 18th, they would be placed in the U6 bracket as they are 6 years old this year.
  • I'm confused by the bracket names. Help!: The U in the bracket name stands for "Under". A U6 bracket means it would have all players "6 and under" placed in it.
  • What are the age parameters for each bracket?: Summer:  U6: Ages 4-6. U8: Ages 7-8. U11: Ages 9-11. U14: Ages 12-14. Fall: U12: Ages 8-12. U15: Ages 13-15. U19: Ages 15-18.5. Cutoff date for age is December 31st.
