River City Youth Soccer League Boundary Changes
Dear families of River City Youth Soccer League Players:

On behalf of the River City Youth Soccer League ("RCYSL") , I would like to inform you of a critical change in the boundaries of our League and the creation of the Natomas United Youth Soccer League ("Natomas United").

With RCYSL's consent, Cal North formerly known as CYSA approved the creation of the new Natomas United League effective May 4, 2012.  Sacramento North and Natomas Soccer Clubs will be providing the families in their defined geographic areas with quality soccer experiences through their affiliation with the new League for all age groups in their Clubs.  These clubs are no longer affiliated with RCYSL.

RCYSL's western boundary will be set as  the Union Pacific Railroad paralleling the East Levee Road from the American River to the Sacramento/Placer County Line.

The remaining seven recreational clubs of Arden Park, British American, Del Dayo, Fulton-El Camino, Rosemont, Sierra Oaks and St. Ignatius will continue with their historical intra-league play and River City United ("RCU") will continue to as the competitive Club for RCYSL families and players.

For the players and families of the Sacramento North Soccer and Natomas Soccer Clubs, the following arrangements stand to ease the transition to a Natomas United affiliation.

  1. Any recreational team from the current 2011-2012 Season that prefers to register with one of the seven RCYSL recreational Clubs for the upcoming season will have their current practice fields grandfathered by these Clubs for the 2012-2013 season.
  2. RCU will continue to be available as a competitive Club for these players by its ability to provide timely and current information regarding its program for the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 seasons as well as have grandfathered access to fields provided to its program by these Clubs through the same time frame.
  3. In addition District VI policy regarding the use of fields in other Leagues' boundaries will not apply to RCU.
We ask that you support the board of Natomas United in their endeavors and look forward to a terrific 2012-2013 RCYSL playing season.

Should you have additional questions, you are welcome to contact your Club's board or any of the RCYSL board members.

Sincerely,

Eileen Peebles
President
