Sanlando Park is a Seminole County public tennis facility located off Douglas Avenue in Altamonte Springs. The park opened in September 1978 with six lighted hard surface tennis courts, growing to 25 by 1988.  Sanlando received the prestigious United States Tennis Association National Tennis Facility of the Year award in 1985, followed by the USTA Florida and USTA National “Organization of the Year” awards in 2010 for offering outstanding tennis programs for all ages and ability levels.

We have fun with the “Sport of a Lifetime” but we take our tennis very seriously. Our professionals are United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) certified and stay current on the latest techniques, playing formats, programs and instructional trends to provide a full array of adult and junior programs for all ages and abilities from beginning to advanced levels.  We have a passionate commitment to helping our participants learn the fundamentals of the sport, good sportsmanship along with the healthy aspects of nutrition and staying fit.  We also believe in helping our participants understand the importance of community and being a good neighbor.  TENNIS in the PARKS, it’s more than just a game!

Sanlando host many large tennis events and tournaments on the state and national level including the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A State Championships, NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Championships and USTA Junior Championships.  It is the host facility for the local Vintage senior tennis group, numerous men’s, women’s, mixed and senior teams competing in USTA, CFWWL, CFMTL, CFTA, GOLD, WIN and WAIT league play, and a favorite location for many participants in the local tennis community.
