  • Understand the parents’ goals, with relationship to your student-athlete’s goals
  • How to support your children in success and mistakes and setbacks
  • Teach your children about the importance of a growth mindset
  • How to handle, and not be, the confrontational parent at the game

The Fort Collins Freeze Competitive Basketball program will provide the youth of Fort Collins to compete in a competitive “club like” program that will compete in the City of Fort Collins Summer Basketball League in the Competitive Division.


The City of Fort Collins will hold tryouts on May 5th, 6th and 7th at Northside Aztlan Community Center.
Times 4:00-6:00 PM
.


1 or 2 Teams will be formed in the following age groups:
4th & 5th, 6th, 7th/8th, 9th-12th - Each league will be separated by Boys and Girls.

$149 fee (NO hidden costs!) to attend tryouts. Players that are not chosen on a team will be refunded $86 and
automatically registered in the summer Recreation league. Fee partially reducible for those who qualify.

Youth who are chosen on a team will receive for your $149 fee:
· Full uniform (jersey, shorts, t-shirt)
· Coaches (Paid qualified)
· 6 games plus end of season tournament in City of Fort Collins Summer Basketball Competitive League
· 1 Power to Play or Colorado State Games summer tournament (4 game guarantee) Participants
will be responsible for transportation/lodging to out of town tournaments.
· Indoor practices during the month of May (TBD). Outdoor practices may be held in June and July.

Fort Collins Freeze will hold a fundraiser to help offset league and travel costs.
Teams may choose to play in an additional summer tournament at the team’s expense.

FOOTBALL FOOD/DRINK!

Espresso People will have their black van out at Spring Canyon Park on Saturday mornings during the spring football season!
There will be some snack food and hot/cold drinks for sale.
