Adopt-A-Park / Adopt-A-Road Program

Help keep Fountain beautiful by joining the City of Fountain's Adopt-A-Park / Adopt-A-Road Program! This volunteer program provides individuals, families, businesses, schools, sports teams, civic organizations, and community groups the opportunity to make a positive impact by helping maintain the cleanliness and appearance of our parks, trails, and roadways.

Participants commit to conducting regular litter cleanups throughout the year at an assigned park, trail, or roadway segment. The program promotes community pride, environmental stewardship, and civic engagement while helping keep public spaces safe and welcoming for everyone.

The City of Fountain provides safety guidelines, trash bags, and support to help volunteers conduct cleanups safely and effectively. Volunteer groups may also receive recognition for their efforts through program signage, social media, or other City communications.

Whether you're looking to give back to your community, complete a service project, or build team spirit, the Adopt-A-Park / Adopt-A-Road Program is a great way to make a lasting difference.

Volunteer Responsibilities

Fountain 5k! - Summer 2026

5K run/walk on July 28th at 5:30 PM at Metcalfe Park!

This family-friendly event is perfect for runners of all levels, from seasoned athletes to first-time participants. Enjoy a scenic course through the park, fresh air, and a great community atmosphere as we come together for an active night out. Lace up your shoes, bring your friends, and kick off your evening with fitness, fun, and local spirit.

Registration is 10$

All registered participants will receive 1 Fountain 5k T-Shirt at registration on race day!

2026 Youth T-ball & Baseball - Summer 2026

Our youth baseball is available in the summer for youth ages 4 -up to 13 years old (If your child turns 13 before July 11th, they will not be eligible for play).  Is designed to develop an understanding of rules, teamwork, fundamentals, and sportsmanship. Teams will play 6 games, with games being held at Metcalfe Park on Saturdays.  Season begins July 18th, 2026, and ends August 22th, 2026. **YOUR CHILD'S AGE MAY GIVE AN OPTION TO BE IN TWO AGE GROUPS PLEASE ADD YOUR CHILD TO THE BEST FIT*

*T-ball co-ed ages 4-5

*Coach Pitch co-ed ages 6-8

*Machine Pitch co-ed ages 8.5-10

*Player Pitch co-ed ages 10.5- up to 13

Yoga in The Park - Summer 2026

Unwind, recharge, and connect with nature at our Yoga Night in the Park! With Rosalind from The Rooted Rose Yoga Studio.

Join us on Wednesday, August 12th at 5:30 PM at Metcalfe Park for a relaxing evening of movement and mindfulness. This all-levels yoga session is perfect for beginners and experienced participants alike, offering a peaceful setting to stretch, strengthen, and de-stress.

Bring your yoga mat, water bottle, and a friend, and enjoy the calming atmosphere of the outdoors as the sun begins to set.

Co-ed Sand Volleyball 2026 - Summer 2026

Summer Co-ed Adult Sand Volleyball 

Have fun in the sun this summer at Metcalfe Park!  Games will be self-officiated on Wednesday Nights.  This is a great opportunity to get outside and enjoy our volleyball courts.  Season will be from July 15, 2026 -  August 19, 2025.  

Cost is $100 per team for 6 game season

2026 Co-ed Kickball Summer - Summer 2026

Our self-officiated kickball league is designed for teams who wish to play kickball while exercising and enjoying a fun laid back atmosphere. Players MUST be 16 or older to play. 1 person will sign up for the whole team. If you are an induvial looking to play for a team, we may be able to find a team for you. Single registrants give us a call 719-322-2030

We will schedule for six (6) games with five (5) games guaranteed.

Games will be played Thursday night’s starting July 30th; Last scheduled game will be September 3rd (depending on cancelations) .

Cost is $125 per team 
Cost for late registration is $175 which ends July 20th

Cleat Exchange at Community Night in the Park - Annual 2026

Fountain Parks and Recreation is excited to host a Cleat Exchange at this year's Community Night in the Park! The theme is CARNIVAL so bring the whole family out for an evening of fun, games, and community spirit. 

How it Works

• Drop off Cleats: Gently used football, soccer, or baseball cleats can be dropped off Monday - Friday at the Fountain Parks & Recreation Office or City Hall. A collection bin will be available for quick and easy drop-off.
• Condition: Cleats must be clean and in good condition (no holes or tears).
• Who Can Participate: Open to everyone-you don't need to be a Fountain resident. 
• Cost: FREE! Donating cleats is not required to receive a pair. (Limit: one pair per player).
• Note:  We cannot guarantee all sizes will be available.

Fall Cheerleading - Fall 2026

Our youth Cheerleading program is available in the Spring for youth ages 4- up to 13 years old (if your child turns 13 before 9/5/26 they will not be eligible for the season) and are designed to develop an understanding of teamwork, fundamentals, and sportsmanship. Cheerleaders will cheer at 6 of our Flag Football games (5 games guaranteed), with games being held on Saturdays in Fountain at Aga Park starting September 5, 2026 and ending October 10, 2026. *

Our youth Football program is available in the Spring & Fall for youth ages 4- up to 13 years old (if your child turns 13 before 8/29/26 they will not be eligible for the season) and are designed to develop an understanding of rules, teamwork, fundamentals, and sportsmanship. Teams will play a 6-game season (5 Games Guaranteed), with games being held on Saturdays in Fountain at Aga Park starting September 5, 2026 and ending October 10, 2026. *YOUR CHILD'S AGE MAY GIVE AN OPTION TO BE IN TWO AGE GROUPS PLEASE ADD YOUR CHILD TO THE BEST FIT*

Co-ed Softball 2026 - Fall 2026

Team Registration-

Designed for friends to enjoy each other’s company while exercising and enjoying the atmosphere;

Season will consist of a minimum of 5 games.  If we have more than 6 teams, we will add additional games.  

Games will be played Thursday night’s starting September 24th; last scheduled game will be November 5th. 

Cost is $300.00 per team

Each Team will be required to pay a cash $25.00 Umpire Fee before each game.  

2026 Summer Adult Cornhole - Summer 2026

Get ready for some outdoor fun with our Summer Cornhole League! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first timer, this program is designed for players of all skill levels. Grab your bags and a partner and join us for a season of friendly competition, good sportsmanship, and great camaraderie. Players must be over the age of 16 to be eligible for league play. 

Games will be played at Metcalfe Park on Ball field 2

The season will start June 15th and end July 20th

No games July 6th due to Independence Day

Cost is $50 per team 

2026 Summer Soccer - Summer 2026

Youth Soccer is available in the Spring for youth ages 4-up to 13 years old (if your child turns 13 before 5/30/2026 your child is not eligible for play) and is designed to develop an understanding of rules, teamwork, fundamentals, and sportsmanship. Teams will play a 6 game regular season (5 Games Guaranteed), with games being held on Saturday in Fountain at Fountain Mesa Park starting May 30st, 2026 and ending June 27th, 2026. *YOUR CHILD'S AGE MAY GIVE AN OPTION TO BE IN TWO AGE GROUPS PLEASE ADD YOUR CHILD TO THE BEST FIT*

The Volunteer Program in the City of Fountain is creatively designed to engage people and their unique talents. When talent and passion work together, the outcome is fantastic. With that aim, the City promotes volunteer involvement to improve services and create community.

Please join us in Volunteering with the City of Fountain on various different projects and task!  Volunteers are a vital part of the community and play an important role in supporting our city.
