2025 Big Fish/Little Fish July - Summer II 2025

This course is for a parent/child (ages 18 months to 3 years).  The goal of course is to introduce basic water skills to both the parent and child including; water adjustments, water safety, and readiness for swimming!  Parents are taught how to safely work with their child in the water, support techniques, and fun tricks to ease your child in to loving the water! Parent must accompany child in the water and participate in every session attended.  If a parent is not available, a caregiver over 18 is welcome. *Must have 1 adult per child registered.

Dates:  July 21st-24th 

Days:  Mon. - Thurs. (No make ups)

Times: 5:30-6:00

Cost:  $25 per parent/child

Reg. Deadline: Wednesday, June 11th

Max # in class: 6 couples 

2025 Water Tots-June Session - Summer II 2025

Water Tots is group swim lessons for kids ages 4-5 (not yet in KG). It is best suited for water shy/bashful kids. We will be taking 20 registrations per time slot and dividing swimmers up according to ability. This is a class you can take each year from 4 years old until KG if necessary.

Program Dates:  June 23-27 (Mon.-Friday, no make ups)

Program Times:

9:00-9:50, 10:00-10:50, or 11:00-11:50

FEE: $25           Reg. Deadline: Wednesday, May 21st

Max. class capacity: 20 participants per time slot

Art Safari 2025 - Summer 2025

Creative hands on art projects and the whole theater experience awaits 1st-6th graders at the Carnegie Cultural Center.  Campers make sets, props, and learn lines for a performance. Friday includes an Art Show and Performance pieces for public reception.

Dates:  August 4th- 8th (Monday-Friday)

Art Safari will be one large class this year!

Time: 9:00- 11: 30 am

Fee: $35

Location: Carnegie Cultural Center

Red Cross Swim Lessons-July 2025 - Summer 2025

The Red Cross Learn to Swim Program is designed for children 6 years and older. Students will progress through the levels at their own pace, mastering the skills in one level before advancing to the next.  Each level of our program includes training in basic water safety and helping others in an emergency, in addition to stroke development. 

There are 6 levels in this program.  If you are unsure which level your child needs to be in this season, please contact the Park & Rec. office.

Program Dates: July 7-18

Class Days: Monday-Friday*MORNINGS, Monday-Thursday*EVENINGS

(*Will only make up if there are more than 2 classes missed)

Location:  New Hampton Swimming Pool

Fee: $40.00
