This year has been particularly hard on the fields at Hill Recreation
Area, due to the drought conditions. Temporary fencing has been placed
around two fields at Hill to prevent use and allow maintenance crews to
perform rehabilitation work. The fences will be in place and the fields
will remained closed as crews perform repair and maintenance work. Work
at Hill is
expected to continue until approximately May 2016. This extended period
is necessary this year to allow grass to grow and become established so
the field playing surfaces are improved.
We greatly appreciate your cooperation and patience as we perform
this important and necessary work that will allow the fields to be
enjoyed again in the spring. If you have questions, please contact the
Public Works Maintenance Division at 415-899-8280.
