Wilderness Survival Training - Spring 2018

NEW! This wilderness survival clamp is designed to fulfill a students understanding of the outdoors and feel at home there. Shelters, water, fire, food, tracking, hazards, astronomy, and other primitive survival skills are covered. Students must be capable of participating in the field outings and exercises associated with the class. Students on completion of the camp will demonstrate an understanding of, and proficiency with, the following concepts: shelters and how to construct one, ability to gather water in dry climates, start and build a proper fire with no matches, find food and preserving of it, find tracks and follow their trail, how to avoid hazards and other areas of study including, life science, anthropology, research methodology, and local native history. (4) Learning Shields of Awareness will be covered! Fun, fast paced in and out of doors! Dress for the weather and wilderness!

2018 Lifeguard Training - Winter 2018

Four Days Of Red Cross certified Lifeguard Training• Bear River High School Pool and Classroom• Must be 15 years old at the start of the class, March 23, 2018• Proof of age required with registration (Birth Certificate, CDL or CID) Pass Water Skills Test . Bring swimsuit, towels, dry clothes and lunch, snacks/water• Books & related material must be purchased from Red Cross prior to class starting (download option also available). Please purchase a Pocket Mask also. www.redcross.org/store
