Is the Frisco Kings Sports Academy a non-profit organization?
Yes, the Frisco Kings Sports Academy (FKSA) is a Registered Not-for-Profit Organization in the State of Texas, with Tax Exempt Status through the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under IRC Section 501(c)(3). Revenue generated is put back into the program and the youth.

What is the goal of the Frisco Kings Sports Academy?
Our goal is to teach each member of the Kings organization the game of basketball in a fun and competitive atmosphere that encourages skill development, sportsmanship, camaraderie and learning how to win and lose with class.

Who may participate in Frisco Kings Basketball?
Any child in grades K - 10th.

How many players are on a team?
Team size can vary depending upon the number of kids registering to play but the max roster size is 10 kids. Frisco Kings has target roster sizes, varying by competitive division of play to ensure minimal financial requirements are met. A typical roster will have 8 to 10 kids per team/division.

Where are Frisco King’s practices and games held?
One to Two weekly practices. Additional weekly practice locations are TBD by the head coach. 
All games are held at the Fieldhouse USAThe address is: 6155 Sports Village Rd, Frisco, TX 75035.

When and how often are practices?
Practices are held two evenings per week, for one hour. Each team will have a consistent practice night and additional practices will be communicated by Head Coach and Team Ambassadors.

How many games are there during a season?
Each team is scheduled to play eight games during the season.

How can I help?
There are many volunteer opportunities. If you are interested in volunteering your time to the Frisco Kings organization, please contact the administrative team directly at admin@friscokingsacademy.com. You will also be given the option to select an area to volunteer during the registration process.

How do I keep up to date on the Frisco Kings Organization?
The official website for FKSA is www.friscokingsacademy.com. The site is regularly updated with news and updates. In addition, if parents or coaches want to contribute news for the website, they can simply email those items to admin@friscokingsacademy.com.

What makes FKSA Different?
FKSA also offer Academics, Community Service, Mentorship, and Leadership Development Programs. Our volunteers often visit youth at our local schools to have lunch with them. We participate in several community service projects, as well as, host "off the court" functions to encourage team camaraderie. We have over 35 years of experience within the organization and our existence is solely for the youth and their overall development.

When joining the FKSA organization, you are becoming a part of an extended family. All of our Coaches go through background checks and they each have one common goal in mind “OUR YOUTH”.

Are Our Coaches Paid?
Not at this time.

What are the Fee's used for?

To pay for league fees, gym rental, skills training, and provide Coaches with the necessary equipment to develop our youth. Administrative fees cover expenses to maintain the organization and its operations.  

What are Donations and Sponsorship used for?

 To pay for Academic, Athletics, Community Service, Mentorship, and Leadership Development Programs. It covers administrative expenses to maintain the organization and its operations, as well as, provide full and partial scholarships for less fortunate youth and youth that excel in school.
