8U - 16U Registration Details and Requirements (scroll down for T-Ball info)

  • Player evaluations will be held at Golden Empire in January for all. All players must be registered prior to evaluation.Players must be evaluated to be placed on a team roster.
  • In-person registration will be available on player evaluation dates.
  • Teams will be formed in mid-February.
  • Whenever possible, teams will have a roster of 12 players.
  • SGSL returning families and families within the SGSL boundaries will have priority roster placement.
  • All interested coaches must sign up as a volunteer on Teamsideline by December 31, 2016.
  • Practice will begin in February/March.Opening day is mid-March at which time games begin.
  • Middle and High school player registration fee is $65.

Additional Registration Information: 

  • Early bird registration is at a discounted rate.
  • Visors are optional and can be ordered at the time of registration for a minimal fee.
  • There is a $25 sibling discount.
  • A $40 volunteer deposit per family is required upon enrollment.  The deposit will be refunded upon request after completion of six (6) hours volunteer work. 
  • There is a $30 fundraising minimum per family. Payment can be made upon enrollment or as part of SGSL’s fundraising activities throughout the season.
  • 50% of registration fees must be paid at the time of registration. 
  • Late registrants are not guaranteed jerseys for opening day.
  • Late registrants will be placed on a waiting list until there are enough players to form a team at that division level.
  • Outstanding account balances must be paid in full before spring 2017 registration can be completed.
  • Accounts must be paid in full by April 1, 2017 for players to continue participation in games.
  • Refunds are available if requested within the dates outlined in the refund policy.

T-Ball Registration

Join the Sacramento Girls Softball League for another great spring season!

  • T-Ball is a great way for new players to learn the basics of ASA fastpitch softball and get them ready to move up to the 8U division!
  • Teams have five players on average.  There is one game each Saturday that lasts one hour. 

Additional Registration Information: 

  • There is no sibling discount for T-Ball.
