Drop-in Sports Programs:

Lunch Time Basketball: Adult Pick-up Basketball

11 am - 1:30pm  Mon/Wed/Fri

$5 per player

Want to play basketball? Start here. The best pick-up basketball in town. All ages. All abilities.

 

Pickleball: Adult drop-in Pickleball

Tues/Thurs

10:30am-12:30pm (2 courts guaranteed)  

12:30pm -2:30pm (4 courts)

$4 per player

Sunday Pickleball 8:00 am - 12:00pm

New! Friday Night Pickleball 5:00pm -7:30 pm Fridays

Both programs are in the gym of the Community Rec Center

Softball: We offer 5 coed leagues and 3 men's leagues. Play starts May 22 and runs till approximately August 31. Send an email to be added to free agent list. All Coed leagues are currently full. Men's leagues still have a few spots remaining. 

Bocce Ball: We offer bocce on 4 different nights at Riverview Sports Park. Bring some food and drinks and enjoy the beautiful summer evenings in the park. Fun and laid back. This is great way to get together with friends or coworkers. Leagues offered Monday- Thursday nights.

Want to have your own Bocce Party? Rent our 3 courts for a fun and easy get-together.

Coed Soccer: We play 11 vs. 11 soccer on our fields at Riverview Sports Park. League starts Sunday June 25. Games played Sunday morning/early afternoon. League wraps up in September.

Golf: Ponderosa golf course is now open! Call 587-3501 for a tee time. 

Biking:Truckee is home to some of the best singletrack in Northern California. The Legacy Trail provides great paved trails throughout town. The Truckee Bike Park has the sweetest flow lines and the smoothest strider/pump track for all skill levels to progress. The park has something for everyone and it's free......s

Love to Swim? Go Jump in the Lake! We maintain public piers along Donner Lake. Check out West End Beach at Donner Lake. Rental paddleboards, kayaks, snack bar, basketball, volleyball and more. West End Beach hotline: 582-7777

Basketball:

Lunch Time Basketball (ongoing)is Truckee institution. Play with us every Monday Wednesday and Friday from 11am -1pm at the Community Rec Center. Whether you are just looking to get a little exercise or are a serious player, lunch ball is always a good time. Cost is $5 per player. Discount passes available.

 

Basketball Leagues: Full Court Leagues start in October. We typically have 2 seasons with leagues finishing up in April or early May.

 

Volleyball:

Coed Volleyball League: Fall and Winter leagues.  Email us to be put on free agent list. Fall League starts in October. Winter League typically starts after New Years.

Drop-in Volleyball: Mondays before and during breaks in the volleyball league season.

Futsal:

Coed Futsal League: Meets in fall and winter. Email us to be put on free agent list. League games on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Fall League starts on October and typically plays into January. Winter season starts in February.

Drop-in Futsal: Tuesdays and Thursdays prior to seasons start and during breaks. Cost is $5 per player.  

Pickleball continues all year long from 10:30am-12:30pm Tuesdays and Thursdays (2 courts) and 12:30pm-2:30pm (4 courts) . Also Sundays from 8am - 12pm. Cost is $4. Fun and Popular Program!

Visit our Fitness Center at the Community Recreation Center in Truckee. Check out our new free motion functional trainer. Run or walk on our track. Get a great workout on our machines. Call 550-4458 for more info. 

Truckee Ice Rink has closed for the season. Thanks for a great year. Scheduled to open around November 25 2017.

Broomball League, Pond Hockey Leagues and hockey drop-in sessions start once the rink opens.

 

Discount Passes for Pickleball, Volleyball and Basketball Drop-in Available at the Rec Center. 

Climbing Wall open Mon., Wed., & Fri. from 5:30 -8 pm.
