The West Metro Senior Softball Association is requesting all players to review and initial the following Code of Conduct that promotes a high standard of competition so that all players enjoy the game and treat each other with respect while maintaining a positive and respectful environment.
Sportsmanship and Respect: Treat fellow players with kindness and respect. Remember that we are all here to have fun. Play the game fairly and honestly; avoid unsportsmanlike conduct, such as taunting opponents or intentionally injuring players.
Address conflicts calmly and constructively.
Celebrate victories graciously and accept losses with dignity.
All players shall avoid physical attack or verbal abuse upon any player. This includes negative and / or unsportsmanlike comments and gestures, in general or directed at the opposing team, same team or game officials/directors
Ethical Conduct: Abide by all league rules and regulations. Respect the property of others, including the field, equipment, and facilities. Avoid using performance-enhancing substances or other prohibited substances.
Safety First: Prioritize safety. Be mindful of your own physical limitations and those of others.
Punctuality: Arrive on time and help set up and later put away equipment. Arrive on time for games and practices. If you cannot make it, notify your team in advance.
Fair Play: Play by the rules. Respect umpiring calls.
Equipment Care: Treat league equipment (bats, balls, bases) with care. Return them after games.
Teamwork: Work together as a team to achieve your goals. Support your teammates and encourage each other. Be a positive influence on the team and the league.
Remember, this is recreational softball. Enjoy the game, laugh, and create lasting memories.
