How to Form a Team
1. Find at least 8+ kids (no max) to form a team. If you're not part of team, please register and CYO will try to place you. During the registration you will be asked who your coach is, please answer "Looking for a team".
2. Each player must register individually and pay online through. Register players here.
*Note: Make sure to note the head coach/team name during online registration.
Cost is $180 per player
3. Player Eligibility:
Player must be enrolled in High School but may NOT play on any level of High School OSAA Basketball teams.
Players do not have to attend a Catholic High School or Catholic Parish to play.
Players must be registered and have made payment online through the CYO website
4. Find a Coach:
Ask a parent and/or responsible adult (21 years or older) to be your team coach.
Have them register online and complete the required certifications. Register coaches here.
5. Register the Team with the CYO Office:
Download and fill out the Team Roster (at least 8 kids and one coach).
Call the CYO Office (503) 231-9484 and schedule an appointment to officially register your team in person.

9:00am - 5:00pm

Important Notes
Player Registration
All players on your roster MUST be registered and paid online or they will not be official and cannot participate in the season. (You must have at least 8 paid players on your team). Register players here.
Coach Registration
Coaches listed on the roster MUST be registered online. Register coaches here.
Uniform
Team jerseys are provided by CYO. However, each player must supply basketball shorts. The jerseys are yours to keep after the season is over.
Practice
Teams are in charge of finding their own practice facility. We recommend contacting your parish, The Hoop, The Courts or a Health Club to see if they have any open spots for rental.

Mandatory Coaches Meeting - Wednesday, December 18

- Wednesday, December 18, location CYO Office (847 NE 19th Ave. Suite 385 Portland, OR 97232
- 6pm - C.A.S.E. (Arrive early if you haven’t taken this course or if you are not certified in Called to Protect)
- 7pm - Meeting (All CYO High School Coaches)
- 8pm - ASEP Training (High School coaches only/if you have not been certified)
