Summer Soccer - Summer 2025

Format: Participants will be organized into teams and games will be scheduled on weekday evenings.  Age 4, Kindergarten and 1st Grade levels will have practice time & a game built in to their 1-hour time slot. 2nd Grade and older will play their game for the entire hour.  Practices for these levels will be scheduled at the coach's discretion and could be held prior to a game or on a separate day/time than the scheduled game.  Age 4 participants must turn 4 years old by July 7, 2025 and not attending Kindergarten in the fall.  

Location: D.C. Everest Middle School Soccer Complex

Dates: July 7th - August 14 (Mon-Thurs Evenings). 6 Week Season

Deadline:  Friday, April 11th or until a level is full.  Some Levels may fill prior to the deadline.  All registrations received after the deadline will be charged a $10 late fee.

Tyke Time - Summer - Summer 2025

Roll, bounce, jump and giggle your way around the turf during our Tyke Time program.  Each week your tot will find different and fun ways to express themselves through play.  Tyke Time is open to children 18 months through 5 years of age.

Pre-registration is recommended but not required.  All Tyke Time sessions will take place at the Greenheck Turner Community Center.

Cooking with Sparklez - Sweet Summer Series - Summer 2025

Everest families may already know "Sweet Eats with Sparklez" and now Sparklez has brought her cookbook of kid friendly foods to GTCC!  The Sweet Summer Series is open to children 3 - 14 years old.  Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.  All ingredients, equipment and utensils are provided.

Class fee is $30 per child.  All classes take place at the Greenheck Turner Community Center.

Flag Football - Fall 2025

Format: Our flag football program is back for another action-packed season! You must register your child for the grade they will attend in Fall of 2025 (not current grade).  Games will take place on Saturday mornings with weekday evening practices. Please reference our Friend Request & Team Formation Policy if you wish to make a friend request this season.  All requests must be mutual. 

Practices: Coaches will contact their individual teams regarding practice dates and times. Practices will occur on weekday evenings at the discretion of coaches.

Location: Games will be played at the fields at the DC Everest Junior High and Stiehm Stadium 

Dates: Sept. 6, 13, 20, 27 & Oct 4

Registration deadline: July 18th or until a level reaches capacity. Late registrations may be accepted, depending on availability. 
All late registrations will be charged a $10 late fee. 

Grades: 1st - 6th Grade in Fall of 2025 (not current grade).

Coaching: Our flag football program is fun for both kids and adults!  Please consider becoming involved by volunteering to coach or assistant coach. No experience is necessary!  Your help is greatly appreciated and essential to the success of the program. Coaches meeting tentatively planned for Tuesday August 19th.  Details will be shared prior to the meeting.

Girls High School Flag Football - Fall 2025

Format: Join the NEW Rec Girls High School Flag Football League! Flag Football is a fun, fast paced, exciting sport that has gained significant traction in high schools across the country.   With a blend of athleticism, teamwork and strategic play, this program offers an opportunity for girls to engage in a sport that promotes physical fitness, leadership and personal growth. Participants will be divided into teams and games will take place on Sunday afternoons. Please reference our Friend Request & Team Formation Policy if you wish to make a friend request this season.  All requests must be mutual.

Fall Outdoor Youth Soccer - Fall 2025

Format: Come play soccer with us this Fall! Fall soccer will be structured the same as our indoor program except we will be OUTSIDE!  Fall soccer is open to boys & girls Age 4- 5th Grade in Fall 2025 (not current grade).  Participants will be divided into teams and will meet for one hour each Sunday for skills practice followed by a soccer game.  The exact schedule will depend on registration numbers, but we are tentatively planning between Noon-5 pm. This is a recreational soccer program, no soccer experience is necessary.  All participants are required to wear shin guards.  Program communications will be sent via Team Sideline email.  Please reference our Friend Request & Team Formation Policy if you wish to make a friend request this season.  All requests must be mutual.

Format: We are excited to offer our Rec Basketball League for girls attending 3-6th Grade in Fall 2025 (not current grade). Participants will be divided into teams and play games on Saturday mornings.  Weekday evening practices will be held with parent volunteers coaching the teams.

4K - 2nd Grade Boys Basketball Skills & Drills - Fall 2025

Format: Our boys basketball skills & drills program is a wonderful way to introduce your son to the sport of basketball.  The Skills & Drills program is for boys Age 4 - 2nd grade in Fall 2025 (not current grade). We will meet each Saturday morning with the DC Everest high School Boys Basketball Coaches and Players leading the fun! 

Registration deadline is Friday September 5th and any registration taken after the deadline will receive a $10 late fee.  

Location: Greenheck Turner Community Center

Dates: Saturdays, Oct. 18, 25, Nov. 1, 8, 15

Time: 

• Age 4-Kindergarten: 8 - 8:30 am
• 1-2nd Grade: 8:45 - 9:15 am
• New: 2nd Grade 3v3: 9:30 - 10:15 am

Attention 2nd Graders:

New this year, we are excited to offer a 2nd Grade 3v3 Basketball session. Designed to assist with the jump from skills to game style format.  The games will start immediately following the skills & drills clinic. 

This program is an add-on for 2nd Graders signed up for the skills & drills clinic. You must be signed up for the skills portion to participate in the 3v3 program. The add on will appear as a selection in your registration. This is only open to students entering 2nd Grade.

Cost: $15 -includes a shirt

Preschool 2025-26 - Wednesday Only Class, Age 3-4 - Fall 2025

Description:
We are very excited to offer our preschool program for the upcoming school year! The primary purpose of our program is to provide each child with an opportunity to be exposed to a variety of basic preschool skills including coloring, use of scissors & glue, listening & following directions along with social interactions with other children. Show ‘n tell, story time and snack are also important parts of our daily activities. Children will also be introduced to a variety of literature to enhance reading & readiness skills.

Classes are taught by Cynthia Schaefer and held at Redeemer Lutheran Church at 6404 Old Costa Lane in Weston from 9-11:30am on Wednesdays.  See FAQ's and offerings for specific dates.  Children must be 3 years of age to attend the Wednesday preschool classes. Children must be potty trained and out of diapers.

Online registration will open on Tuesday, July 1st.  Registration will remain open until the posted closing date or until a session reaches capacity.

Often times we can combine classes or make other arrangements rather than cancelling. Please register for the class you would like your child to attend and we will reach out if any changes need to be made.

3-6th Grade Wiffle Ball - Fall 2025

New for 2025!  Our wiffle ball program is open to girls & boys attending 3rd - 6th grade in the fall of 2025.  Wiffle Ball is a variation of baseball, played with a plastic bat and perforated, plastic ball.  Join us Monday nights on the turf for a friendly variation of this backyard classic!  Players will be placed on teams randomly, no requests will be accepted for placement.  All grades will play together. We will supply balls and bats, no other equipment is necessary.  Cleats are recommended but not required.

Dates: Nov 24, Dec 1, 8, 15

Time: 6-8pm - exact schedule TBD

Grades: 3rd- 6th Grade (Grade in FALL 2025, not current grade)

This program will offer a wide range of movement patterns for all ages that will include flexibility/mobility, power/strength, speed/efficiency within selected patterns.  We will use the planes of motion and will develop an understanding of how the hips and ankles work to make faster, more explosive athletes.  Participants will be engaged while following along with a specific method of training to encourage growth and development in speed and agility.  They will develop body control and movement patterns to help them grow through their high school years.  The goal is to develop better movers.  Must be enrolled in Kindergarten or 1st grade in Fall of 2025 to attend Little Movers.
