Catamount Alpine Ski Team 2025-26 - Annual 2025

Catamount Mountain Resort's Alpine Race Team programs are designed for participants ages 6 to 20.

The program has two teams, the InterClub Team, and Tri-State Team 

Interclub is an entry level racing program for younger children ages 6-12 that have significant experience skiing.  THEY MUST BE ABLE TO GET ON LIFTS, and ski comfortably on most terrain.  Coaching is focused on development of skiing competency in an athletic environment. Competitions will be held at different ski areas in western Mass approximately five times a season.

Tri-State program is for more experienced racers ages 10-20, and features coaching at Catamount and scored racing throughout the Tri-State region and qualifying for eastern championships.  Racers will focus on slalom and giant slalom race courses and will require separate equipment on

  • How do I choose a program?: The program choice is based on your child's skiing ability. We require all entry level participants to be able to load and unload the lift safely and unassisted.
  • What happens if it doesn't snow?: We do the best we can to work around Mother Nature. Catamount has the best snowmaking in the area and works to accommodate the racers in the worst of winter seasons.
  • When is the first day of practice?: The first day is weather dependent, but, generally occurs during the second or third weekend in December. An email will be sent out to confirm training start dates.
