This is a recreational basketball league open to children grades 3rd-6th of all skill levels. This league is partnered with 9 other communities: East Buch, Mid- Buch, Dekalb, Platte City, North Platte, West Platte, Lathrop, Lawson, and Plattsburg. There will be some game travel included. SPR will provide a jersey, parents will provide shorts and shoes, (28.5 size basketball optional). *2nd grades are not allowed to move up, to play in the league at this time. Fee: $75 Season: 11/06/2023 - 2/10/2024 (end of the season tournament optional) Games: Each team is guaranteed 8 games played only on Saturdays starting December 2. Home games will be held at Horizon Elementary and Maple Elementary. Practices: Each team will have 1-2 practices/week based on coach's schedule starting week of November 6. Practices will be held at Horizon and Maple Elementary. Volunteer Coaching: The recreation sports programs are dependent upon volunteer coaches. If you would like to coach, please click the "Volunteer" tab below! Coaches can choose three players, plus their own child(ren), to be on the team they coach. The teams' practice schedules are chosen by the volunteer coach around their schedule. If you would like to guarantee a particular practice day/time for your child, you are welcome to volunteer coach!
