Adult Volleyball League (Oct. 5-Nov. 16) - Fall 2025

Sundays--October 5th-November 16th

November 9th we won't have league night.   

Coed A (Advanced), Coed B (Intermediate), Coed C (Recreational) Divisions--Guaranteed 2 matches per night.

Free Agent option available for those that do not have a team. ($40 per person.)

Matches will start as early as 5:30pm and finish around 8:30pm. Schedules will be posted a few days prior to the start of the season. 

Cost: $40 per person. (Team rep must complete the roster for each person and include an email for each player so that they can receive registration information.)

Hot Shots League 2025 (Oct 20th - Dec 1st) - Fall 2025

Monday Evenings-Oct. 20th -Dec. 1st  Boys/Girls-Age Groups 5-6, 7-8, 9-10,11-12 Thursday is a possible playing night if we overfill.

This is a progressive, practice/play league. The first 20 minutes of each Monday will allow time for a team practice followed by games. This progressive approach allows for young players to build their fundamental skills of passing, shooting, rebounding and defense, while also learning strategies of the game through league play. Players will register as individuals and will be placed on teams by AYSA staff.

The first night of league, Monday October 20th, will be just a practice for the team!!

Time slots will be sent out closer to the season start time.

 Each player will be given a jersey. Volunteer coaches are required for this league. Please contact us at info@abileneysa.org if you are interested in coaching your child's team or a team in general.

IMPORTANT PAYMENT UPDATE:

To ensure a smooth start for all our programs, league payments are now due two weeks before the program begins or a $20 late fee will be added to late registrations. If payment is not completed before the the start date, participants will not be allowed to take part in the program. 

VertiMax Training Program (Nov 10th-26th) - Fall 2025

3-Week Program, 2X a week

WHO: Groups of 8 athletes MAX, 6th – 12th Grade, boys and girls

WHEN: November 10th - 26th, Monday / Wednesday: 6:00-6:30PM & 6:45-7:15PM

            *We must have at least 4 athletes for a session to make*

COST: $75 per athlete 

This explosive jump program is designed to increase vertical explosion and plyometric power.

The main focus areas are:

• Explosively loaded jumps
• Power generation at jump takeoff and landing
• Balance and coordination
• Control of CNS and proper takeoff and landing techniques

Best In the West Adult Volleyball Tournament (Nov. 8-9) - Fall 2025

Best In the West Adult Volleyball Tournament (November 8-9, 2025)

Location: Dodge Jones Youth Sports Center--Abilene, TX

Cost: $250 per team

Divisions: Competitive and Recreational Co-Ed (Must have a minimum of 2 female players on the court at all times.) All players must be 18 or older. 

6v6 Indoor Adult Volleyball tournament with pool play on Saturday and then all teams move on to the tournament bracket on Sunday. Teams will be seeded in the tournament based on pool play win/loss record. 1st and 2nd place will receive an award in each tournament bracket. 

Discount Code: If you are bringing a team that is playing in the AYSA fall adult league, we will provide you with a discount code for the tournament. However, your roster must remain the same to receive the discount code. If you pick up other players not on your league roster, then the discount will not apply. 

Prizes:  1st Place: Prizes and a free entry to next year's tournament, 2nd Place: 50% voucher to next year's tournament

Volleyball Holiday Camp (Nov. 24-25) - Winter 2025

VOLLEYBALL HOLIDAY CAMP

November 24-25

Age Groups:

3rd-6th Grade, 9am-10:30am

7th-8th Grade, 9am-10:30am

Cost: $70 per player

Our volleyball holiday camp is intended to cover every skill of the game of volleyball for your young athlete. This camp is for beginners as well as for those that have been playing for several years. Here is what will be included:

Serving: Footwork, armswing mechanics, building confidence, working on core power, jump serving for advanced players.

Hitting: Introduction to approaches and transitions, armswing mechanics, jumping for height and power.

Passing/Defense: Proper technique and footwork, controlling where the pass goes, and moving quickly to the ball. 

Setting: Introduction to setting techniques and proper hand contact on the ball. 

Games: We will be playing small mini-games each day to utilized the skills that have been presented. This can be serving games, short-court games, wave-through and rotation games. 

AYSA PAYMENT POLICY:

All payments must be completed before the first day of camp. For those who have not paid by the first day of camp, a $10 late fee will be added. (This includes any walk-up registrations on the first day of camp. 

Advanced Hitting/Serving HS Camp (Nov. 24-25) - Winter 2025

November 24-25,   11-12:30 PM

9th-12th Grade (Limited to the first 10 athletes to register)

Cost: $70 per player

If your athlete is an advanced player who is looking for extra skill specific training in the area of hitting and serving then this is the camp for them! Emphasis will be placed on the following skill specific elements:

Hitting:

• Proper approach footwork mechanics that will lead to consistency and momentum building.
• Focus on proper power jumping techniques to get players to their most efficient vertical heights. 
• Transitioning from passer to attacker in a fluid motion while building momentum. 
• Learning how to hit with power by properly engaging the core. 
• Higher level hitting techniques and plays: running quicks, slides, shoots, tipping and roll shot training. 

Serving:

• Serving to score mentality.
• Building up more power and velocity in the serve.  
• Placement of the serve into specific zones on the court. 
• Higher Level Serving: Working on consistency with jump serves as well as short ball serving. 

For all AYSA camps, emphasis will be placed on repetition, technique, maximum efficient mobility, and proper mechanics.

Jingle Jam 2025 (December 6th) - Winter 2025

The Jingle Jam is our second AYSA fundraiser of the year! This all-day event will consist of 2v2 pickleball tournaments, 3v3 basketball tournaments, 4v4 volleyball tournaments, and Christmas GALORE!! The event schedule is listed below.

• *Adult Events & Pickleball are for High School Aged and Older*

• 2:00pm-4:30pm: Adult 3v3 Men's and Coed Basketball
• 2:00pm-6:00pm: Open Pickleball Doubles
• $40-60 per team per event if registered by November 27th

Parent's Night Out (December 19th) - Winter 2025

Parent's Night Out 

If you need a date night or time to yourself, then be sure to join us for Parent's Night Out! Playing games, watching a movie, and eating pizza are just a few of the fun activities kids get to experience during this event. 

Date: Friday, December 19th

Time: 6:00-10:00PM

Cost: $35 per child if registered by December 17th. 

 $40 per child if registered after December 17th. 

Age Group: Children ages 5-12 

Drop-Off: 5:30-6:00PM

Pick-Up: 9:30-10:00PM, however parents may pick up their child(ren) at any time throughout the event. 

What to Bring:

• Comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes 
• Water bottle with child's name (preferred) 
• Meal arrangement (if not eating pizza) 
• Pillow and blanket to watch movie (optional)

Adult Soccer League (Jan 7-Feb 11) - Winter 2026

January 7 – February 11, 2025
Wednesdays | Ages 16+ | $95 per player

Join us for 6 weeks of competitive winter soccer at the new ROC Soccer Complex, featuring state-of-the-art turf fields and first-class facilities under the lights each Wednesday evening.

League Details:
Format: 7v7 (including goalkeeper)
Dates: January 7 – February 11 (Wednesday evenings)
Match Times: Starting at 6:00 PM
Divisions: Men’s & Women’s
Cost: $95 per player
Location: ROC Soccer Complex

Team & Player Info:

--Open to players ages 16 and up

--Free Agent Option available for those without a team — we’ll help place you!

--Team Representatives must complete team rosters and include an email for each player so registration details can be sent

The Soccer Firm Foundations Clinic is designed to help young players build strong technical skills and a solid understanding of the game. Led by experienced coaches and athletes from local schools and universities, this fast-paced clinic focuses on developing essential fundamentals and applying them in game-like situations.

Players will train twice a week in a supportive, structured environment that encourages confidence, growth, and love for the game. This is an essential camp for those wanting to see growth in their soccer skills. 

AYSA Payment Policy:
All payments must be completed before the first day of camp. A $10 late fee will be added for any unpaid or walk-up registrations on the first day of camp.

TEAMS Rising Stars Volleyball League (Feb. 23-Apr. 13) - Spring 2026

THIS IS FOR TEAMS ONLY!!!

Monday Evenings-Feb. 23rd -Apr. 13th (1 hr. segments from 5pm-9pm) 

No games will take place during the week of AISD spring break. 

Girls/Boys-Age Groups: 6-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14

This is a bring your team league. Your team must provide a coach. There will be a 30 minute, coach-led, practice built in to each game night. This will be a shared practice with another team on the same court. 

Limited team spots are available for each age group, so be sure to register your team early to secure a spot.

You must turn in a completed roster that will then allow your team members to register online. Each team member will receive an email explaining how to register online once you have completed the roster portion of registration.  

Cost: $115 per player

There will be no games played during the week of AISD spring break.

As a free agent you will be placed on a team with other free agents. 

Free Agent teams will not have a coach assigned to them by AYSA, so a parent must be willing to step up and coach for their child's team.

Jon Smith Memorial Showcase (July 17-18) - Summer 2026

The Jon Smith Memorial Showcase is for high school volleyball teams

July 17-18, 2026, Dodge Jones Youth Sports Center, Abilene, TX

Our goal is to provide you with a full schedule of quality matches during the weekend, giving all participants the opportunity to improve as players, teammates, and young women of character. We will guarantee plenty of chances for all athletes to get ample time out on the floor.

Pool Play games will take place on Friday. All bracket play will be on Saturday. 

Team Entry:

We offer two different divisions for the Jon Smith Showcase. 

Varsity Division--$550 per team

JV/Freshman Division--$400 per team (this division has a few less matches than the varsity division)

$200 deposit deadline July 1st to hold team spots.
