Summer Day Camp - Summer 2025

SUMMER DAY CAMP AT GORDON MOORE PARK, MUENSTERMANN BLDG

Daily activities include sports, playground time, arts & crafts, indoor & outdoor games

Special activities include science experiments, rock painting, scavenger hunts, and more TBD

Field trips vary but may include Alton Splash Pad, East Alton Ice Arena, Bowl Haven, St Louis Zoo, NCG Cinema, and more TBD

8 weeks available June 2 through July 25

$130 per camper per week ($10 sibling discount)

Camp hours: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday

Before Care 7:30-9:00 am, $15 weekly per camper

After Care 3:00-5:30 pm, $20 weekly per camper

Field trip T-shirt $10

Campers must wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for active play.

Campers must bring the following, clearly labeled with the camper’s name

  • A daily sack lunch (non-microwavable items only)
  • An afternoon snack
  • A water bottle
  • Sun block

Parents are expected to ensure all food items are safe for campers with allergies.

Tennis Lessons - Summer 2025

Group lessons by experienced players under the direction of Kathy Claywell

Learn the game through fun, instruction, drills, and games. There are four sessions, 3 days per session on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9:00-10:00 am. Fridays will be make-up days for cancellations due to weather. 

$40 per session

Programs: Grade School (ages 7-11) Middle & High School (ages 12-18)

Sessions: June 3-5, June 10-13, June 17-19, June 24-26

2025 Fall Soccer - Fall 2025

FALL SOCCER for boys and girls, Birthdate range 9/1/10-8/31/20

 10 Games in September & October, plus FREE training sessions with experienced soccer coaches & players TBD.

Teams may be coed, depending on total registrations by division.  

GAMES: Played at Gordon Moore Park, north side fields.  Practices are scheduled by coaches about 2-4 weeks before games begin. 

EQUIPMENT: Team shirts provided. Players must wear shin guards covered by socks during practices and games!

REGISTRATION DEADLINE 7/31/25 – FEE     $55 Alton resident   $60 Non-resident     Late fee $10               

You may also register in person. Office hours are 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M., Monday – Friday, except for holidays.  Make checks payable to:  Alton Parks & Rec.  Players registering after the deadline will be put on a wait list & assigned to teams that need players the most.
