Pickleball Youth Camps:
Prerequisite: Have a knowledge of the basic rules and strokes and have played before.
Camp will be outdoors, so recommended items include sunscreen, a water bottle, a hat, sunglasses, and snacks.
Each player must have their own paddle. Pickleballs will be provided.
Camps will run Monday through Friday from 10 am-12 pm.
The kids will learn the basic skills and rules of pickleball.
Day 1: Serve and Serve Return
Day 2: Dinking
Day 3: Driving/3rd drop shots
Day 4: Volleying/Blocking
Day 5: Tournament Day
Participants will have 60 minutes of drilling with a 15-minute break to eat a snack, and then they will finish the last 45 minutes playing the game of pickleball.
The camp will be held at the Marquardt-Miles Outdoor Pickleball Courts at Simms Street Recreation Center, 11706 W. 82nd Ave., Arvada, CO 80005.
