Basketball Cheer 25/26 - Fall 2025

We cheer for Mentor Youth Basketball! All games are on Sundays at Mentor High School. Practice starts in October and games start in November and run until March! Cheer starts at 12 and runs until about 3:30. We will have 3 squads each Sunday that cheer for the first three games of the day. It is roughly an hour each squad. We learn as a league the same cheers and chants to allow your cheerleader to come as their schedule allows for practices and flow between the three squads on Sundays as their schedule permits. The season runs 4 months so there's plenty of cheer opportunities and more flexibility to cheer with friends as well as play basketball if they choose to.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Is there a sibling discount?: Yes there is a $10 sibling discount for cheer siblings, basketball siblings or if your cheerleader is also playing basketball. Please email if you need a coupon code. mcycacheer@gmail.com
  • Will there be uniform fittings?: Yes there will be several dates offered to try on uniforms. Please pick UNKNOWN size during registration if you have not been to a uniform fitting. Uniforms are non-refundable!
  • Can my cheerleader also play basketball?: Yes! There will be 5 open spots on each squad to allow the most flexibility for your child to play basketball and cheer! We will all learn the same cheers and chants to make it fluid to cheer with any squad throughout the day!
  • Is there a payment plan?: Yes there is a payment plan. It is different than what we have had in the past. It only applies to the "registration enrollment" cost. There are two offerings for registration. One with a uniform Package that will allow the total cost to be split in 4 payments and one without the uniform package that allows the "registration enrollment" cost to be split but not any additional added items.
