SOFTBALL

LEAGUE INFO:
1. Teams should have 10 players on defense. New this year, the coed leagues are a standard 6 male, 4 female.
a. Teams may play with a minimum of 4 male and 4 female players, and maximum of 6 male OR female. 
b. Teams may also use 5 male and 5 female players on defense if they choose. 
c. The majority gender player must play the catcher position.
2. ALL GAMES ARE DOUBLE HEADERS. Games are scheduled for 1 hour and 15 min apart.  No new inning may begin 1 hour and 5 min after the scheduled start time.  If the game starts before it’s scheduled start time there will be no new inning after 1 hour and 5 min of the ACTUAL start time. 
3. The home team is responsible for keeping official scorebook.
4. The winning team e-mails scores to mplocke@redmond.gov or uses auto scoring after games are completed.
5. Rainout information:  425-200-0076, www.redmond.gov/fieldstatus, updated after 3:30pm.
6. All games umpired by SMSUA. If an umpire is late, please contact Charles “Rookie” Coburn at 253-486-2742.
7. Rosters do not lock for Spring Tune-Up League.
8. All batters will start with a 1-1 count and one courtesy foul ball.

PLAYOFF RULES:
•The highest seeded team will have the option to be the home team in all games played. If seeds are equal there will be a coin flip.
•No new inning after 1 hour 5 minutes of all playoff games
•The 10-run rule will be in effect for all playoff games, including the championship game
•All playoff games are single-elimination w/ consolation game

City of Redmond parks, fields, and facilities are public spaces without exclusive use. Participant supervision, chaperones, and use of the buddy system in restrooms and throughout the park are encouraged.
