VOLLEYBALL - Fall 2025 (Volleyball)

LEAGUE CLARIFICATIONS
1. Match Locations:  (ORSH) Old Redmond Schoolhouse, 16600 NE 80th Street
2. Gym Usage: Please, no food, gum or pop allowed in gym.  No smoking on school or community center grounds (inside and out).
3. Reminder: "Lock it up" secure vehicle windows, doors and tops; remove all valuables; and call 911 to report any suspicious activity in parking lots.
4. League Rule Clarifications:
-A serve may be received with or without the hands in the locked position.  However, it is illegal to block or spike a served ball.

- Use of feet is not allowed. No kicking of volleyballs at any time

- Doubles are no longer called on the second contact of a rally, even if it's a "set" or "double touch" as long as the ball is contacted.

• Forfeits:  If a team cannot field enough players within 10 minutes of the scheduled starting time, the team forfeits their first game.  If a team cannot field enough players within 20 minutes, they forfeit all three games.
• IF both managers agree prior to the match, teams may play with any combination of players
• IF both managers agree teams may borrow a player from another team in the league if they are short players
• (Coed League) Recreation level teams may ONLY have one female and one male player from a competitive division team.
• Games are played up to 25 using the “Rally Scoring” method of scoring.  Regular season games may end with a one point margin of victory, but playoff games must be decided by two points or more.
• EACH MATCH WILL CONSIST OF THREE GAMES (Including playoffs)

PLAYOFF RULES
• Playoff match-ups will be a best out of 3 game format, rally scoring
• All playoff games will be played up to 25 points, and must be decided by a two-point margin.
• Each match must be completed prior to starting the next scheduled match, regardless of delays
• All other playoff rules are the same as the regular season rules

City of Redmond parks, fields, and facilities are public spaces without exclusive use. Participant supervision, chaperones, and use of the buddy system in restrooms and throughout the park are encouraged.
