Important Updates
Hi Junior Cougar Family -
There is a change in our Junior Cougar night that was scheduled for 8/22 and wanted to get all of you the information as quickly as possible. Below is the letter we received from the Athletic Director encouraging us to change the date to September 19th due to this Friday being the Gold Pan game and it will be very busy, and they want our Junior Cougars to be honored and be the spotlight for Cougar Night. The next home game is September 19th. As a board we decided this would be best for our players and cheerleaders. This gives our Cheerleaders more time to work with the highschoolers for a 1/2-time show. We understand this is last minute, but we appreciate everyone understanding.
Cougar night will be Friday 9/19/2025 more details will come out as we prepare for this fun event for our Junior Cougars.
Please see the letter below from Danielle.
Dear Junior Cougar Board,
First, I want to thank you for everything you do to support El Dorado Football and for building such a strong connection between our youth program and our high school program. The Junior Cougars are the heart of our future, and we love celebrating them.
I’m reaching out with a bit of a last-minute audible. Originally, Junior Cougar Night was set for tomorrow during the Gold Pan game. We typically just default to the first game of the season, but this year it happens to be Gold Pan!
After discussing it from both an Athletic Director and administration standpoint, I truly feel it would be better for our Junior Cougars to be honored at our next home game on Friday, September 19.
The Gold Pan game is one of the busiest and most chaotic nights of our entire season, and I don’t want our Junior Cougars and Junior Cheerleaders to get lost in the shuffle. They deserve their own spotlight—a night where the focus is on them, their energy, and their future as Cougars. Moving it to the 19th allows us to give them that special recognition and attention without all of the distractions that come with Gold Pan.
I know this is very last-minute, and I feel terrible asking for the change so close to the event. I deeply appreciate your understanding, flexibility, and continued partnership. I truly believe this adjustment will make Junior Cougar Night feel more meaningful and memorable for the kids and families.
Thank you again for all the time, energy, and heart you pour into this program. We couldn’t do this without you, and I’m so grateful for your support.
With appreciation,
Danielle Andrade
