A: Congratulations! You should have received an email from the President detailing the program, expectations, and tryout schedule. You must complete this Commitment Response ahead of attending tryouts. Teams will be posted here with the players who are selected after being evaluated at tryouts.
A: Please click here for the tryouts, practice, and tournaments schedule.
A: Yes, no problem. A coach may still hold practices that week but you are not expected to attend if you are out of town. Any other planned absences should be run by the coach in advance.
A: The best chance of making the team is by attending your assigned tryout time. If you absolutely cannot attend that session, or are sick the day of, please email the All Star Coordinator(s) to see about potentially attending another session for a brief private evaluation.
A: Unfortunately, no. However, please be present for a brief meeting with the All-Star Coordinator(s) immediately prior to your tryout session for an important overview of the program.
A: Typically 10-12 players will be on each team.
A: The All-Star program culminates in a travel tournament which is a great team-building experience. If possible, we suggest booking a hotel for both Friday and Saturday nights. We will let you know about securing a block of rooms at the same hotel for team dinners and hangouts.
A: Given that the All-Star season is similar to a highly competitive AAU program, a coach will try their best to make sure each player plays during games, but playtime may not be as equally distributed as in the regular FYB season.
A: Please expect parking charges at tournament locations, as well as $10-20 entry fees per person not playing.
