Our Mustang Panther Cheerleading program is designed for Kindergarten through 6th grade students and focuses on the fundamentals of sideline cheerleading. Led by experienced coaches, athletes will build strong foundational skills in cheers, chants, and motion technique—preparing them for junior high and high school cheer in Texas. Whether your child is just starting out or looking to supplement their competitive cheer training, this program is the perfect fit.

- What is Mustang Panther Cheer?: It's a sideline cheer program for Kindergarten through 6th grade that teaches the basics of cheerleading, including chants, motions, jumps, and team spirit. It’s designed to prepare athletes for junior high and high school cheer in Texas.
- Who can participate?: Any student in Kindergarten through 6th grade enrolled in the school or district is welcome to join! No tryouts required.
- Is this a competitive cheer program?: No—this is a sideline-only program focused on cheering for football games. However, it’s a great foundation for those interested in competitive cheer in the future.
- When and where are practices held?: Practices are typically held once or twice a week at local fields where football practices, or a public park. Schedules will be confirmed after registration closes.
- What is the cost to participate?: New Cheerleaders: $285 (includes uniform, registration, and team gear)
Returning Cheerleaders: $125 (uniform not included)
Optional add-ons like a cheer backpack or pink gear for October are available during registration.
- What does the uniform include?: The uniform package includes a uniform top, uniform skirt, bloomers, bow, and pom poms. All items are yours to keep. Additional items can be added on with our team shop!
- What if my child already has a uniform?: Great! Returning cheerleaders can register at a reduced rate and do not need to purchase a new uniform unless they need a replacement.
- How long is the season?: The season runs from early September through October, aligning with the youth football schedule. Cheerleaders will perform at typically 8 games with the opportunity to continue on through playoffs in November.
- Are there additional costs?: Optional items like the cheer backpack or October pink gear are available for purchase, but not required. There are no hidden fees.
- Do cheerleaders cheer at every game?: Cheerleaders are expected to attend weekly games unless otherwise noted. Game schedules will be shared once finalized by the football league. We understand your child may be involved in other sports throughout the fall and we encourage both that sport and cheerleading as we have lower commitment levels in our organization!
- Who coaches the squads?: Each squad is led by experienced volunteer coaches who are passionate about teaching cheer in a fun, encouraging environment. All coaches are background-checked. If you are interested in coaching, we are always needing excited parents who love coaching!
- Can parents volunteer to help?: Absolutely! We love parent involvement and can always use help with game day coordination, snacks, or special events.
