AK - 2nd Grade Basketball Camp - Winter 2026

Learn the basics of basketball!  From passing, dribbling, and shooting, this program is a great introduction to basketball. Every child will receive a small sized youth basketball with their name on it.  

*Parent participation is required. 

Dates: 1/11, 1/18, 1/25 (Sundays Only)

Time: AK - K 12:30pm - 1:15 pm; 1st - 2nd grade 1:30pm - 2:15pm

Location: Center Point Primary School

Cost: $25

Capacity: 20 kids per group

Seniors vs Seniors Trivia Night - Winter 2026

Brought to you by Center Point Heights and the Parks & Recreation Department... Join us for Seniors vs Seniors Trivia!  

Trivia categories will be across the board.  Senior citizens (55+) will compete on teams with CPU High School Seniors and will battle against each other to see who comes out on top!  Prizes for the winning team!  Team placement will be randomly assigned, teams will consist of equal numbers of senior citizens and seniors in high school.  You can bring your phone along, but keep it in your pocket or it may result in your removal from the event!  Drinks and snacks provided by Center Point Heights!  

Location: Center Point Heights (800 Mustang Lane)

Time: 6:30 PM 

Fee: No fee this year!

Capacity: Space is limited to 15 high school seniors, and 15 senior citizens

Father Daughter Dance 2026 - Winter 2026

Dress up for a special night with your daughter, niece or grandchild. There will be a DJ, glow paint, dessert and drinks!  Pictures taken by a photographer will be available for purchase if you desire.  All ages are welcome.

$25.00 per couple

$5.00 per additional child

Dance will be held at the Andersen Community Center (720 Main St) from 6:00pm - 7:30pm on Saturday, February 7th. 

Mario Kart Tournament (1st - 5th Grade) - Winter 2026

Join the Center Point Parks & Recreation Department for our 2025 Mario Kart Tournament!  

Game: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Format: Double Elimination, All Items, Normal AI, Random Maps

Age Groups: 1st - 5th Grade

Registration Capacity: 14

Date: Monday, January 19th (NO SCHOOL DAY!)

Time: 12:00 - 1:30 PM

Location: Community Center

Pop, water, and pizza for all participants, champion will receive a trophy!  

Participants can bring their own Nintendo Switch and/or controllers or are free to use the one provided at the event.  

*All Mario Kart Tournament participants will receive free entry to the Family Game Day event which will be held at the Community Center from 1 - 3pm.
