2026 Prime League Football - Fall 2026

It is important to understand what division and type of football your athlete is eligible for. Below is a graphic to help guide you on the football path that might suite your athlete the best. At any time athletes 7-12 can compete in flag or tackle football. They may crossover at any age, but please be aware of the suggestion that first time football players only play flag. 

PRIME LEAGUE FOOTBALL

This league includes 5U Flag, 6U Flag, and 7U-12U tackle football. We highly encourage first time football players 7 years or older to register in the Granbury Flag Football League (offered below). This is not mandatory, but strongly suggested in order to ensure the safety of the athletes. Flag football offers an excellent opportunity for first time players to learn the game on a smaller field, with a smaller team size, and with limited contact. Once they have played one season of flag football, we encourage them to play tackle at some point before entering middle school, but that is just a suggestion. Please choose what is best for your athlete.

THIS LEAGUE PARTICIPATES IN A PARENT LEAGUE WITH OTHER TOWNS. Games will be played in other towns excluding home games which will be in Granbury.

September 1st cutoffs

5U Flag

6U Flag

7U Tackle

8U Tackle

9U Tackle

10U Tackle

12U Tackle

THIS SEASON TACKLE EQUIPMENT WILL BE OFFERED WITH AN ADDITIONAL RENTAL FEE OF $75.00 (not included in the registration fee.

Rental Fee will be due at time of equipment fitting.

If your athlete is playing tackle and you wish to rent equipment from the league, please stay tuned to your Teamsideline emails and Facebook posts to be notified when equipment fittings and distribution is taking place. 

If you wish to supply your own tackle equipment for your athlete, please be sure it is within current safety standards.

GRANBURY FLAG FOOTBALL - Fall 2026

GYFA is proud and excited to announce the return of our inner city Flag Football League! 

GRANBURY FLAG FOOTBALL

This league includes 7U-12U Flag football only. (See Prime League offering for 5U & 6U Flag football).

This league is a fantastic option for athletes who want to play in a non contact league until middle school or for first time football players. This league will only play games in Granbury. The divisions for this league are as follows:

September 1st cutoffs

7/8U Flag

9/10U Flag

11/12U Flag

* Syzmik X7C Helmets are required to participate this 2026 season. Helmets will be provided to each athlete as part of their registration fee. The helmet is theirs to keep after the season.
