Challenger Soccer Camp - Summer 2026

KPR is once again partnering with Challenger Sports to offer Soccer Skills Camps. With coaches from all over the world, you get international camp experience without leaving Kearney! The camp will run June 15-19 at Jesse James Park.

Tiny Tykes: Ages 2-5

Fundamental practices and skill-building activities in and immersive adventure! A fun introduction to soccer influenced by the very popular year-round Tiny Tykes curriculum. Includes games, activities, and adventures to introduce and develop coordination, balance, running, stopping, turning, kicking, dribbling, throwing & catching. Includes access to an online library of at home videos, motivating young players to continue learning after the session!

Half Day: Ages 6-14

Individual skill development, core techniques and small sided games. Monday to Friday inclusive, 3 hours per day, delivered by our professional and international staff. Complete technical player development featuring practices from around the world as part of our international camp curriculum.  Your children will enjoy the World Cup small-sided game element to our daily camp session as well! Includes access to a virtual coaching world, motivating young players to continue learning after the session!

All campers receive a free soccer ball and jersey!

Youth Recreation Baseball League - Spring 2026

This is a recreational baseball league open to boys ages 7-14 of all skill levels. KPR will provide a jersey, hat, and end of the season medals - parents will provide a glove and recommended helmet. KPR partners with Smithville Parks and Recreation and Platte City Parks and Recreation to provide the best league experience. Each team will play 6 games per season.

The location and day of games for each division will be based on the number of teams that make up the division. We have teamed with Smithville Parks and Rec and Platte City Parks and Rec to provide the best possible experience for the kids. Some travel to Smithville and Platte City will be involved. The age of your child on April 1, 2026 is the age level they will play.


Season: 4/6/2026-6/21/2026 (Practices start week of April 6, Games start week of April 29) 

Practices: 1-2 practices per week

Volunteer Coaching: Our recreation sports programs are dependent upon volunteer coaches. If you would like to coach, please click the "Volunteer" tab below! Coaches will receive a free registration for their child (credit for future use on your account after practices start). The teams' practice schedules are chosen by the volunteer coach around their schedule. If you would like to guarantee a particular practice day/time for your child, you are welcome to volunteer coach!

This league is designed to get kids familiarized and involved in soccer through fun and engaging activities and games.

Practice & Games: 1-2 practices per week, starting in mid April. 6 games will be played on Saturdays (games start in May).

Who Plays: 4 - 14 year old children

Where: Jesse James Park Soccer Fields 3001 N. Hwy 33, Kearney, MO 64060

Age As Of Date: April 1 - This means the age your child is on April 1 will dictate the division they play in this session. If your child is 8 on April 1, they will play in the Under 10 division. If they are 10 on April 1, they will play in the Under 12 Division, and so on. This holds true even for children whose birthday is during the season. Example: If a child is 7 on April 1 but turns 8 on May 15 they still play in the Under 8 division.

Rules: Soccer Rules 

KPR will provide a jersey. Parents/Guardians will need to provide shoes, shorts, socks, & shin guards
