2026 VH Youth Softball - Spring 2026

SPRING 2026 REGISTRATION OPENS november 30th!

The Vestavia Hills Girls Softball Association is proud to offer a recreational softball in an enjoyable, learning environment for girls in the 6U, 8U, 10U and 13U age divisions.

2025 Boys Basketball - Winter 2025

The boys basketball program is for players Grades 1-8. The fee to play is $160 for Vestavia residents and $210 for non-residents. Teams practice 1-2 times a week and games are mainly on Saturdays, with a few weeknight games in grades 4-8. Each team plays 8 regular season games and grades 2-8 have a season ending tournament. Practices begin in early November and the first games are on Saturday, December 6th. The season concludes in mid-February. Uniforms are available to try on for sizing purposes and are at the Civic Center, behind the front desk. 

2025 Girls Basketball - Winter 2025

Vestavia Girls’ Basketball Program Grades 2–7

Join the Vestavia Girls' Basketball Program, open to players in grades 2 through 7.

• Who Can Play: Girls in grades 2–7 
• Fees:
  • $180 for Vestavia residents
  • $230 for non-residents
• Practices: Once per week
• Games: Mostly on Saturdays
• Season Details:
• 8 regular season games
• End-of-season tournament for grades 2–7

2025 Vestavia Hills Holiday Basketball Camp - Winter 2025

The Vestavia Hills Parks and Leisure Services will host a Boys Basketball Holiday Camp on Monday, December 22nd at Vestavia Hills High School.

This will be a great opportunity for all 1st - 6th graders to get some mid-season instruction from Coach Davis and his staff from Vestavia Hills High School.

The camp will be at VHHS Main Campus from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Cost: $50 per player.

More information will be sent to all registered players on Sunday, December 21st with final instructions.

2025-26 High School Boys Basketball - Winter 2025

This league is for boys in grades 9-12. Must be a current Vestavia Hills HS student or be home schooled but live in Vestavia. Fee is $600 per team and teams must provide their own uniforms. Uniforms must be reversible, with two contrasting colors.  All team names must be approved by emailing msullivan@vhal.org. There are no individual registrations. Games are tentatively set for Sunday, Monday and Wednesday nights. ALL players must show a photo id before each game and that players name must match the roster. When you are registering, please use the name on your identification so it matches up with the photo id (either driver's license or school id)

Vestavia Hills Parks and Leisure Youth Tennis - Junior Development - Winter 2025

Junior Development Program - Ages 11-18

This program is designed for beginning juniors aged 11 to 18 years. It is ideal for those with limited match experience. The program emphasizes technique and strategy through engaging drills and match play. Participants will be grouped based on their skill levels.

All clinics will be held at the Wald Park Tennis Courts in Vestavia Hills with coaches from Birmingham Tennis Academy leading the program. 

1 offering available.  If you would like to work multiple times during a single week, you must sign up for each offering.

Offerings ($172.50):

Wednesday 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Policies relevant to all clinics:

- If a clinic is missed due to illness or personal reasons, the clinic cannot be made up.

- All weather-related updates will be posted on the BTA website.  If no update is posted, the clinics are on as scheduled.  When possible, all updates will be posted one to 2 hours prior to the clinic start time.

- Only coaches and players are allowed on the courts. Please do not interact with your child during the clinic in order to help your child give full attention to the coach.

Vestavia Hills Parks and Leisure Youth Tennis - Orange Ball - Winter 2025

The Orange Ball Program - Ages 8-10

This program is designed for children under the age of 11 who have had an introduction to the sport of tennis. It aims to guide students into competitive tennis by continuing to develop their fundamental skills while introducing them to match play.

All clinics will be held at WALD PARK TENNIS COURTS in Vestavia Hills and taught by The Birmingham Tennis Academy.

 You must register for the day(s) and time(s) you would like to participate.

Clinic Offerings ($172.50):

Sunday 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm

Wednesday 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

*Important information related to clinics this session: 

- There will be no clinics 11/24-11/30 due to Thanksgiving Break

Policies relevant to all clinics:

- If you miss a clinic due to illness or personal reasons, the clinic cannot be made up.

- All weather-related updates will be posted on the BTA website.  If no update is posted, all clinics are on as scheduled.  When possible, all updates will be posted up to two hours prior to the clinic's start time.

- Only coaches and players are allowed on the courts during the clinic.  Please do not interact with your child during the clinic, so that the full attention will be given to the coach.

The Red Ball Program - Ages 5-8

This program is designed to provide a fun introduction to tennis for children ages 5 to 8. It will focus on developing hand-eye coordination, agility, and the fundamental skills of tennis.

All sessions will be held at WALD PARK TENNIS COURTS  in Vestavia Hills and taught by The Birmingham Tennis Academy.

You must register for the day(s) and time(s) you would like to participate.

Offerings ($172.50):

Tuesday 4:45 pm - 5:30 pm

Sunday 2:30 pm - 3:15 pm

*Important information related to clinics this session: 

- There will be no clinics 11/24-11/30 due to Thanksgiving Break

Advanced Red Ball (Players must have completed at least 6 consecutive months of Red Ball)

Tuesday 5:30 - 6:15pm

We will offer memberships for a 6-month period for $50.00. This is the same pricing as the “preview” period however, it will be semi-annually and not quarterly. All the other guidelines as far as reserving courts, etc will remain the same.
