2025 Summer Basketball - Summer 2025

This summer program is for RISING 5th and 6th grade boys only. 5th graders will play on Tuesday mornings and 6th graders will play on Thursday mornings. Game times will either be at 10:00, 11:00, noon, or 1:00. This is a 4-on-4 format and is played with no referees. The boys will be placed on balanced teams and will be subbed in and out by the park staff to ensure equal playing time across the board. Maximum number of participants PER GRADE is 64 (8 teams of 8). The fee for this program is $75 for 7 games and playoffs. We also have several opportunities to substitute for players missing games due to vacation.

Adult Basketball Summer League - Summer 2025

Adult Basketball Summer League 2025 - Summer League starts July 7th. Monday night games at 6:15, 7:15, 8:15. 6 Games guaranteed. $400 league fee. Rec and Comp Leagues. Registration starts May 21st and will close June 25th. First 16 Teams. 

Adult Soccer 7 v 7 Summer 2025 - Summer 2025

7 v 7 summer adult soccer league. Cost $650. 6 games and playoffs. 3 Divisions. start 6/1 finish 8/3

2025 Vestavia Swim Association - Summer 2025

Program Overview

Vestavia Swim and Dive Association is a summer swim and dive program in Vestavia Hills, AL.  Children ages 5-18 are eligible to participate in the summer swim and dive program if able to swim 25 yards independently. Cost is $225.00 for swim, dive is $225.00 and if you want to enroll in both it is $350.00, which includes a swim cap and a t-shirt. The Vestavia Swim and Dive Association is run by a volunteer board and a part of the Vestavia Parks and Recreation. Mandatory Parent Meeting Saturday May 17 at 10:00am

Swim Groups

Minnows- no swim team experience- able to swim somewhat but not 25 yards yet

Guppies- new to swimming- able to swim 25 yards, but does not know strokes

Turtles-beginner swimmers-able to swim 25 yards easily but only knows 1-2 strokes

Dolphins- intermediate swimmers-swim easily for a longer distance, knows 3-4 strokes, working on technique and improving speed

Sharks- Advanced swimmers- know all the strokes, able to swim long distances with ease, and has participated in swim team for multiple summers

2025 Vestavia Swim Lessons - Summer 2025

Swim Lesson Information

Please click "All Sessions" under each offering when selecting times to register for both weeks. 

Beginner: level 1 and intro to swimming.  This is for children who cannot put their faces in the water or who cannot float.

Intermediate: This swim class is for children between the ages of 5-11 who know how to put their face in the water and can float.  These children can have some forward progress in the water with no help from someone or a floatation device.

Advanced: This level of lessons is for an advanced swimmer who can swim across the pool but needs help refining their stroke and learning new strokes.  

2025 VH Park & Rec Softball Summer Camp - Summer 2025

Welcome to the 2025 Softball Summer Camp. The summer camp will be from June 9th- June 11th. The camp will run from 8am-12:30pm at Wald Park in Vestavia Hills. 

This camp is designed to provide intensive instruction on all aspects of the game of softball. With the help of Bevia Robinson, participants will focus on hitting skills, defensive skills, and base running. All defensive positions including pitching and catching will be covered. 

Residents and Non-Residents
Camp Shirt will be included. 
Ages 5u-14u

What you will need to bring:

Swimming clothes 
Glove 
Bat
Face Mask (if needed)
Catching gear (If needed)

Tennis Shoes or Turf Shoes (NO METAL CLEATS)

2025 Youth Volleyball - Fall 2025

Vestavia Hills Girls Youth Volleyball is a recreational program designed to teach the players the fundamentals of the game. Practices are either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights (one practice per week). Games are on Saturday mornings and all events take place at the Vestavia Civic Center, with the exception of the 7th-9th grade league. Those teams may have to travel, depending on the number of teams signed up. Price is $150 

Uniform jerseys will be available to try on at the Civic Center. They will be located on the stage, behind the front desk. 

EVALUATIONS WILL BE SUNDAY, AUGUST 3RD FOR ALL PLAYERS. TIMES WILL BE EMAILED ONCE REGISTRATION IS FINISHED.

WALD PARK - Adult Tennis Program

This adult tennis program is designed to provide instruction for players at all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. All clinics will be held at WALD PARK TENNIS COURTS in Vestavia Hills and managed by The Birmingham Tennis Academy

This program is for players who are have some experience, good fundamentals and have some match play experience.

Vestavia Hills Parks and Leisure Tennis Camps (led by Birmingham Tennis Academy)

The City of Vestavia Hills Parks and Leisure Services is proud to host two different camps this summer. The Birmingham Tennis Academy Coaching Staff will be training players from beginners to advanced level players.  The goal is to inspire young athletes by helping improve their game and enjoy their experience with the sport of tennis.

Quick Start Camp:

Players of all levels ages 6 to 10 years old.

Camp #1: June 16 - 19, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Camp #2: July 14 - 17, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Cost: $330 per player

Yellow Ball Camp:

Players of all levels ages 11 to 15 years old.

Junior Development Program - Ages 11-18

This program is designed for beginning juniors aged 11 to 18 years. It is ideal for those with limited match experience. The program emphasizes technique and strategy through engaging drills and match play. Participants will be grouped based on their skill levels.

All clinics will be held at the Wald Park Tennis Courts in Vestavia Hills with coaches from Birmingham Tennis Academy leading the program. 

2 offerings available.  If you would like to work multiple times during a single week, you must sign up for each offering.

This program is designed for children under the age of 10 who have had an introduction to the sport of tennis. It aims to guide students into competitive tennis by continuing to develop their fundamental skills while introducing them to match play.

All clinics will be held at WALD PARK TENNIS COURTS in Vestavia Hills and taught by The Birmingham Tennis Academy.

All sessions will be held at WALD PARK TENNIS COURTS  in Vestavia Hills and taught by The Birmingham Tennis Academy.

4 separate offerings available.  If you would like to work multiple times during a single week, you must sign up for each offering.
