Importance of Raking the Playing Fields
Ensuring the playing fields are properly raked after each use is crucial to minimizing rain-outs.
NOTE: After each use, coaches of both teams are responsible for ensuring all sliding paths, batter boxes, pitching mounds, etc. are leveled. Base paths should be raked length-way (with the base path) to minimize the buildup of infield dirt around the perimeter. Adult volunteers are needed to ensure this happens.
