Adult Spring Basketball League - Spring 2026

The Spring Adult Basketball League is offered on Sunday afternoons, Tuesday nights, and Thursday nights. This league is a great way to compete against teams in the area. Teams must provide their own jerseys with numbers on them. If your team would like to purchase Holland Recreation reversible jerseys they can do so below.

Winter Bowling League - Winter 2026

The Bowling League takes place on Thursday evenings at BAM! Entertainment Center (478 E. 16th St.).

Players must register individually. Under the "Special Request" section please put the names of the other bowlers on your team.

If you are registering for the bowling league with no teammates in mind, we will put you on a team with other bowlers if we get enough to create a team.

Adult Badminton Social League - Winter 2026

A double-header badminton league, consisting of seven regular season weeks, followed by a single-elimination playoff tournament. Teams can be made up of any combination of males and/or females. Drinks will be available for purchase on league nights. Must be 21+ to participate.

Adult Cornhole Social League - Winter 2026

A cornhole league, consisting of three games a night for seven regular season weeks, followed by a single-elimination playoff tournament. Teams can be made up of any combination of males and/or females. Drinks will be available for purchase on league nights. Must be 21+ to participate.

Middle School Softball League - Spring 2026

Teams are divided up by school for this program. There is a Holland Public or Holland Christian option. If your child does not attend either, you can pick either one to register for. Games will be played against other West Michigan softball teams. Practices begin in March with games starting after Spring Break. Practices are determined by coaches, games are scheduled by Holland Recreation. Volunteer Coaches are needed for this program.

Sal Perez Scholarship Softball Tournament - Men's - Spring 2026

The annual Sal Perez Scholarship Softball Tournament is a great way to start off the season. This tournament raises money towards the Parks and Recreation Department's Youth Scholarship fund. The funds raised will go towards providing recreational opportunities for kids in the Holland community who need assistance paying for programs. Space is limited. Teams are guaranteed two games.

The Men's tournament will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday, April 18.

Adult Summer Softball 12 Game League - Summer 2026

Holland Area Softball League is a collaboration between the City of Holland & Holland Charter Township Recreation Departments. There are a guaranteed 13 games, 12 regular season games followed by a single elimination tournament.

Adult Summer Softball 10 Game League - Summer 2026

Holland Area Softball League is a collaboration between the City of Holland & Holland Charter Township Recreation Departments. There are a guaranteed 11 games, 10 regular season games followed by a single elimination tournament.

Adult Indoor 4v4 Volleyball League - Winter 2026

Teams have the chance to compete against other Holland area teams in this Indoor 4v4 Coed Volleyball League. The league will consist of 6 regular season games, followed by a single-elimination tournament.

Sal Perez Youth Scholarship Donation - Annual 2026

Donations are used to fund youth recreation scholarships, based upon financial need.  

Help provide youth iDesignn the City of Holland the opportunity to participate in recreation programs at a reduced rate.

Holland on Ice Snowmelt 5K - Winter 2026

Join Downtown Holland and Holland Recreation for a 5K through beautiful Downtown Holland. The entire route will take advantage of Holland's unique snowmelt system, allowing runners & walkers to enjoy an obstacle and hazard free course, even in the midst of winter. Racers will receive a finisher medal and a winter hat. This 5K is part of Downtown Holland's annual Holland on Ice festival, so racers can stick around Downtown Holland all weekend to take in the live ice carving, great sales, and winter themed food & drink specials at local restaurants.  

Kids' Mini Melt - Winter 2026

A dash for our youngest running enthusiasts. The Mini Melt will be a .2 mile non-competitive dash down 8th Street Marketplace. Starting at 9:00 AM, an hour after the official Snowmelt 5K begins. Parents and guardians may participate alongside their mini runners if they'd like. Mini Melt participants will receive a finisher ribbon, race bib, and get to partake in after dash snacks and refreshments. Open to ages 7 and under. 

January Kids' Night Out - Winter 2026

Holland Recreation and Gazelle Sports have teamed up to offer Kids’ Night Out. Drop your kids off with us and they’ll enjoy a night of fun with Holland Recreation staff and other kids their age. The focus of this program is movement, and introducing kids to new sports and activities, such as 9 Square, basketball, coloring, board games, dodgeball and more. A pizza dinner is included.

Tulip Time Yoga - Spring 2026

Wake up and flow surrounded by vibrant tulip blooms! Join us for energizing early morning yoga sessions at the Holland Ice Park's stunning amphitheater during Holland's celebrated Tulip Time festival. Practice among a spectacular display of colorful tulips in the beautiful Window on the Waterfront park, with classes scheduled early enough to enjoy peaceful morning tranquility before the festival crowds arrive. Bring your yoga mat and join us for an invigorating outdoor class that'll energize your body and calm your mind.

Hand Piecing A Quilt - Beginner Style - Winter 2026

Hand piecing a quilt has always been a popular form of completing a quilt, as it is easier on your hands than english paper piecing, and you can do intricate designs with Y seams. This beginner class will send you on your way with the readiness and skills of hand piecing, and you will be hooked for sure. Great project for on the go. Let’s get started. Women's Self Defense - Part 2: Skills in Action - Spring 2026

This class builds on foundational self-defense principles through practical application and scenario-based training. We will focus on putting your skills to the test with realistic mat work and partner drills, incorporating bag work to refine striking power and technique. Rather than high-intensity cardio, this session emphasizes controlled practice, decision-making under pressure, and developing confidence in real-world situations.

Recommended for those who have completed a previous self-defense course, though all experience levels are welcome. 

Lakeshore Middle School Baseball League - Spring 2026

Practices will begin in March with games beginning after Spring Break.  Jersey and hat will be provided by Holland Recreation.  Other equipment needed to play is responsibility of player.  Teams will be divided by school and will compete against other West Michigan communities. In addition to 7th & 8th graders, 6th graders who are 13 years old are allowed to register for this league.

Little Hitters - Spring 2026

Little Hitters is a great opportunity for kids to learn about the basics of t-ball and the basic motor skills necessary to play. This is an instructional clinic, not a league. No teams will be formed. This is a parent-child interactive program, so each child is required to have a parent/guardian join them in the program. Please provide your child with their own baseball mitt. This is an outdoor program.

Little Dribblers - Winter 2026

Little Dribblers is a great opportunity for kids to learn about the sport and the basic motor skills necessary to play. This is an instructional clinic, not a league. No teams will be formed. This is a parent-child interactive program, so each child is required to have a parent/guardian join them in the program.

K & 1st Grade Basketball Clinics - Winter 2026

The Kindergarten and 1st Grade Basketball Clinics are an opportunity for players to work on their skills and learn the basics of basketball. This is an instructor led program that will focus on improving players basketball skills and knowledge. All ability levels are welcome.

 Session 1 - Saturdays, December 6 - December 20, 2025

Session 2 - Saturdays, January 3 - January 17, 2026

There is an option to register for both program at a discounted price.

2nd Grade Basketball League - Winter 2026

Participants will learn and practice a variety of fundamental basketball skills through drills and activities for the first three weeks. Participants will then be divided up and compete in games for the final three weeks. There are sessions for boys and girls to register for. This program will take place on Saturday mornings. This is an instructor led program. Volunteer parents will be needed for the final three weeks of the program to help coach during games.

9:00AM Session is offered for Boys.
10:05AM Session is offered for Boys.
11:10PM Session is offered for Girls.

3rd/4th Grade Basketball League - Winter 2026

Participants will be divided into teams and compete against other Holland Recreation teams. Teams will practice on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays and play games on Thursdays. Games will start on Thursday, January 8.

Skills/Drills/Evaluation Night will take place during the week of December 1.

3rd/4th Grade Basketball - After School Practices - Winter 2026

The After School teams will practice on Mondays and Tuesdays and play games on Thursdays. Practices will take place at one of the Holland Public gyms.

After school practices will begin at the conclusion of the school day and go until 5:15PM. Practices will take place at Holland West and/or HLA. Transportation after school to practice sites will be provided by Holland Recreation. Parents and guardians are responsible for picking their child up after practice at 5:15PM.

5th & 6th Grade Lakeshore Basketball - Winter 2026

Participants will go through an evaluation day and then split into teams. The evaluation is meant to keep teams balanced. Teams will practice during the week and compete in games on Saturday mornings. This is a Lakeshore league, Holland Recreation teams will need to travel to other local communities for some games. Home games will be played at Holland Area gyms.

Skills/Drills/Evaluation Nights: will take place the week of December 1. More information will be sent out closer to the program start date.

Spring Fever 3v3 Basketball Tournament - Spring 2026

A great way to wrap up the basketball season. This is a fun tournament that is offered for boys and girls from 3rd grade to 12th grade.

7th/8th Grade Boys Lakeshore Basketball Individual - Winter 2026

Participants will be divided based on the school they attend. Practices will be during the week determined by coach. 

Holland Recreation teams will compete against other area teams on Saturday mornings.

Volunteer coaches are needed for this program.

7th/8th Grade Boys Lakeshore Basketball Team - Winter 2026

Teams will register at a per game rate in this format. Jerseys and practices are the responsibility of the coach/team. Games will take place in various lakeshore communities on Saturday mornings. There will be six weekends of games with a tournament on the last weekend.

1st - 4th Grade Spring Basketball Clinic - Spring 2026

Participants will have fun learning the basics of basketball through fun games and drills in this instructor led clinic. This clinic will focus on skill development. All experience levels are welcome.

1st & 2nd Grade Clinic - Wednesdays, March 4 - March 25 from 5:30 PM - 6:20 PM.

3rd & 4th Grade Clinic - Wednesdays, March 4 - March 25 from 6:30 PM - 7:20 PM.

Parent & Child Spring Bowling League - Spring 2026

Adult/child teams will compete against other Holland Recreation adult/child teams. The league includes two games a week, weekly scoring, standings, a $5 arcade card each week, and an end of the season party. The adult may be a parent, relative, or family friend of the child. This league is offered to children who are 7-12 year's old at the start of the program.

Youth Basketball Cheer Clinic - Winter 2026

Do you have a child who might be interested in cheerleading? Have them try it out in this 4-week introductory program. Led by Holland Recreation’s Rocket Football Cheer coach, participants will learn the basics and discover their love for the sport.

Rhythm & Movement - Winter 2026

Students will be introduced to jazz and hip-hop in an age-appropriate style. They will explore the fundamentals of jazz and hip-hop, and learn about moving to the rhythm of the music. Students will give a short performance on the last day of class so their family can see what they’ve learned.

Dance Discovery with Disney - Winter 2026

Children will discover fun basic dance steps and will be encouraged to use their imagination in this class. Dance will be introduced in a friendly positive manner by moving to the beat of Disney. Participants will give a short performance on the last day of class so the family can see what they’ve learned.

Tapping Toes - Winter 2026

This class is an introduction to ballet and tap dance steps through creative movement. Students will begin to learn early terminology and dance fundamentals. Participants will give a short performance on the last day of class so family can see what they’ve learned.

Afterschool Dance Exploration - Winter 2026

Holland Parks and Recreation is offering a limited enrollment dance program for 3rd and 4th grade students. This program is open to all 3rd and 4th grade students attending Holland Public Schools or homeschool. It's a great way to keep your child active after school while learning various dance genres and terminology. Students will explore a different dance style each day and learn a short 1-2 minute routine related to that day's focus.

Exploring Dance - Spring 2026

This beginner’s dance class will be taught in clinic style, giving students an opportunity to explore different dance styles and props throughout two weeks. We will be using props like balloons and hula hoops to teach students about utilizing their dance space wisely. Our final class will include a short performance to show family and friends all they’ve learned.

Tumble Time - Spring 2026

An introduction to basic jazz and gymnastics. Participants will use tumbling mats and learn simple terminology.

Tricks & Kicks - Spring 2026

In this class, participants will be learning more about flexibility and exploring advanced tumbling skills. We will be using a combination of jazz basics and gymnastics to choreograph a dance to show their friends and family at the end of the session.

Move & Groove: Intro to Hip-Hop - Spring 2026

This class is the perfect introduction to hip-hop dancing, with a touch of tumbling and beginner gymnastics. Students will explore how their movement connects with the rhythm of music while also building coordination, balance, and strength through basic tumbling skills. Participants will give a short performance on the last day of class to show their families what they’ve learned.

Spring Break - Dance Camp - Spring 2026

 A great way to keep your students entertained during spring break. Each day of camp we will be adding onto a short dance that will be performed for families on the last day. Arts and crafts, dance games, and high-energy activities will keep dancers engaged and moving.

Little Tumblers - Spring 2026

Rhythmic Ribbons - Spring 2026

Learn rhythm, coordination, and balance through different styles of dance such as ballet, jazz, and hip hop with fun upbeat music. Dancers will get to experiment with a dancing ribbon as a prop throughout class.

Tumble Tap & Tendu - Spring 2026

This class introduces gymnastics, tap, and ballet in a way that lets your student try a little bit of everything. Students will begin to learn basic steps and terminology. Participants will give a short performance on the last day of class.

Spring Lacrosse Clinic - Spring 2026

Little Gliders - Winter 2025

Little Gliders is a great opportunity for kids to learn the basic skills of ice skating. Whether you have never skated before or have some experience, Little Gliders will focus on developing balance and movement while wearing ice skates. This is an instructor-led class. Each child is required to have a parent/guardian with them for this program. Parents/guardians may choose to wear skates and participate with their child. Classes are limited to 20 children.

Learn to Skate - Winter 2025

Learn to Skate is a great opportunity for kids to develop the basic skills of ice skating in a fun and supportive environment. Whether they have never skated before or have some experience, participants will focus on improving balance, control, and movement on the ice. This is an instructor-led class designed specifically for children to learn independently—no parent participation is required. Classes are limited to 20 skaters to ensure quality instruction and individual attention. Arrive 15 minutes early to put on Skates, Provide skate size option on program.

Snack Detectives: Food Clues & Body Hints - Winter 2026

Discover the hidden messages in your favorite foods through fun, hands-on activities. Kids will learn how different shapes, colors, and textures give clues about how foods help our bodies. We’ll explore tasty, real foods and create something delicious together—while learning to spot sneaky sugar and processed imposters! Please note: we’ll be working with a variety of ingredients, so if your child has any food allergies or sensitivities, let us know in advance so we can do our best to accommodate them safely.

Radical Rides and STEAM Vibes - Spring 2026

Cruise into island-style STEAM fun! Feel the rush as you simulate a thrilling Maui volcano bike ride with a custom-built track, then swing into action with a Chihuly-inspired paint pendulum. It’s motion, color, and creativity all in one awesome adventure!

Sports Exploration - Spring 2026

Our Sports Exploration Camp is designed to introduce young athletes to a variety of different sports over 5 weeks. Athletes will learn the fundamentals of a new sport each week. Our staff will guide your child to expand their personal development, athletic skills, and knowledge of various sports. Your child will walk away with vital life lessons such as respect, teamwork, and self- discipline. Children of all skill levels and abilities will enjoy this high-energy, high-excitement program.

Wonderland Slime Lab - Spring 2026

Step into a topsy-turvy world of wacky STEAM fun! Mix up Unbirthday Cake Slime and Queen of Hearts Slime, craft a surprise gift, and get spinning with the Mad Hatter’s wild tea party. It’s curiouser, goopier, and more creative by the minute!

St. Patrick's Day Volleyball Tournament - Spring 2026

This popular 4 v. 4 volleyball tournament is held annually in Holland, MI. Adult divisions will be self-officiated. Officials are provided for youth divisions. Youth divisions available for 5th - 10th graders, as well as adult competitive and recreational divisions. Max of 5 players per team. 

Please note: For those registering a youth team, the "enrollee" section on the following page should be the parent/guardians name that is registering the team.

Volleyball Serving Clinic - Spring 2026

A one day clinic focused entirely on improving serving skills. As a fundamental skill of the game, serving skills will help carry your young player through all their future volleyball endeavors.

Spring Volleyball Clinic - Spring 2026

A great opportunity to improve your child's volleyball fundamentals in the off-season. Instruction will be provided by Holland Recreation staff.

Winter Wrestling Clinic - Winter 2026

This clinic is designed for athletes of all ages who are looking to learn new skills, improve their technique, and take their wrestling game to the next level. This program is an instructor led program that runs for 10 weeks. It will be clinic style with the opportunity to be coached by the instructors in real matches.
