I wrestled in high school in Massachusetts, and I was an assistant coach for the varsity team in 2010 at Fruita Monument High School. Last year was my first year being involved in the sport since then, and I had a great time as an assistant coach. This year, I am the head coach for Group 1. My oldest, Carter, is 7 years old, and this season will be his second year in the program.
I am originally from Pennsylvania, where I grew up, went to school and started a family. My family and I moved to Colorado in 2017, and we settled in Erie in 2019. I spent my high school years in both football and wrestling. I continued my wrestling career for a portion of my college years at Penn State. Last season was my daughter, Mia's, first year with the program, and I enjoyed helping coach the group 2 team. This year, my son, Austin, is joining Mia in the level 2 group, and I'm excited to be the head coach for the team. Outside of wrestling, we're typically running one of our three kids around town to other activities: soccer, swimming, kickball, etc. I'm looking forward to the season and helping the kids grow to love this sport that has meant so much to me!
I grew up in Indiana, and started wrestling at age 5. I attended Purdue University on a TKOK bowling scholarship and academics. I qualified for semi-state and was a runner up twice in freestyle as a kid. I coached middle school in Indiana for 7 years and 4 years at Boulder High School. I enjoy bowling and golfing. I am a huge fan of football and baseball as well. My last wrestling accomplishment was 1st place for the Old Timers Tournament at Erie for individual and tag teams divisions. I am looking forward to passing on all of my knowledge and working with the kids. For work, I own and operate Erie Hardwoods.
