2026 Cheerleading Camp - Winter 2026

Learn cheers, jumps, voice projection, and other cheer techniques.  
Cheerleaders will have six practices at North Elementary School and will have their final performance during the Youth Basketball League End-of-Season Tournament

DATES:   Saturdays, January 31, February 7, 14, 21, 28, March 7

TIMES:     9:30  am – 10:15  am    Ages 3-5 (ROOKIE CHEERLEADING)
       10:15 am – 11:15 am     K-2nd Grades     
       11:15 am – 12:30 pm     3rd-5th Grades

(Times and Location for the final performance are TBA)

2026 Co-Ed Youth Basketball League - Winter 2026

League practices and play focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, rules and skill development. Practices will begin in January and games will begin late-January/early February. Games and practices will be held on weeknights and our season ending tournament will be held  after all regular season games have finished. 

Youth Divisions 
Youth must play in the appropriate age group. All age groups (K-1st, 2nd-3rd and 4th-5th) will be co-ed.
League formation depends on minimum number of participants . The Godfrey Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to place participants based on age and ability. 
Locations of games and practices will be given to the coaches at the coaches meeting. (Coaches will be contacted by the Recreation Supervisor with more information regarding the meeting.) 
*The Godfrey Parks and Recreation Department has the right to change the times and locations of practices and games as needed based on gym space availability .

2026 Rookie Basketball - Winter 2026

Program Goals:  Building self - esteem, basic skills, respect, positive competition, and sportsmanship.

Requirements:  This is a family oriented program requiring all children registered to have a parent or guardian present to participate with the child.

When: Saturdays: January 3 - February 14, 2026 Capacity:

Session A Saturdays    9:00 - 9:45  am Min 8—Max 20
Session B Saturdays 10:00 - 10:45 am Min 8—Max 20
Session C Saturdays 11:00 - 11:45 am Min 8—Max 20

Equipment:  Equipment will be supplied. All equipment is age-appropriate. Tennis shoes must be worn; Basketball shoes are NOT required.

2026 Spring Youth Soccer League - Spring 2026

Have fun, build sportsmanship and learn basic soccer skills with team practice and league play.  Practice begins in February with game play beginning in March. All teams are guaranteed at least 8 games. Scholarships are available to be determined by office staff. 
GAMES WILL BE PLAYED ON THE NEW TURF FIELDS!

Leagues will be broken down by 2025-2026 grade level; K-1(Co-Ed), 2-3(Co-Ed), 4-5 Boys, 4-5 Girls, 6-8 Boys, 6-8 Girls.

2026 Daddy Daughter Dance - Annual 2026

Dads and daughters are invited step out together and flaunt their best attire and dancing shoes for our 8th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance.  

This event is open to girls ages 3-12 years of age along with an adult male-figure (fathers, brothers, grandpas, uncles)  $45/couple; $15/additional daughter*

STRIKE!  Mothers and Sons are invited to join Godfrey and 
Alton Parks and Recreation Departments in the 5th annual 
Mother-Son Bowling Night.  This event is open to boys ages 
3-12 years of age along with an adult female-figure 
(mother, sisters, grandmas, aunts).

DUE TO THE LIMITED SPACING, WE ASK ONLY THOSE REGISTERED ARE IN ATTENDANCE.
