Baseball, Softball, T-Ball Leagues - Spring I 2026

Spring 2026 Youth Baseball, Softball, and T-Ball Leagues

Registration opens February 1, 2026 for Town of Wake Forest residents and February 8, 2026 for all others. Programs are offered for boys ages 5–17 and girls ages 5–16, with a focus on skill development, teamwork, and fun.

League Age:
Determined by the participant’s age as of April 30, 2026. New participants must provide a birth certificate at registration.

Availability:
Spots are limited by age group. Once full, a waitlist will be created. Age and league assignments are strictly based on age with no exceptions.

Fees (Residency is based on the participant’s home address within Town limits):
- Wake Forest Residents: $60 (registration opens Feb 1)
- Non-Residents: $100 (registration opens Feb 8)

Team Placement:
Siblings in the same age group will be placed together. Requests for specific teams, players, or coaches cannot be accommodated.

Schedule:
- Practices: 1–2 days per week
- Games: 8–10 games, depending on teams and field availability
- 10U and up: End-of-season tournament
- T-Ball & Rookie: Regular season only

Season Timeline:
- Evaluations: Mid–late March (not required for T-Ball & Rookie)
- Practices: Late March–April
- Games: April–June (may extend into late June)

Volunteer Coaches:
Parents may volunteer after registering their child. Each team may have 1 head coach and 2 assistants. Coaches must complete a background check and NAYS training. Coaching spots are limited.

SixFour3 Spring Softball Skills Field Day - Session 1 - Spring 2026

Join SixFour3 and Wake Forest Athletics for a fun and instructional day designed to help players and coaches prepare for the upcoming softball season. The event will feature specialized skill sessions led by experienced high school and collegiate coaches, along with raffles, trivia, prizes, and more.

Session 1 | 9:30 am – 11:00 am

Field 1: Intro to Pitching and Catching
Led by Brittany Lane (Wakefield High School Head Coach) and Pete Rose (William Peace Pitching Coach). This beginner-friendly session focuses on the fundamentals of pitching and catching, including proper grip, stride mechanics, body control, and basic catching positioning.

Field 3: Coaching Clinic
Led by Robert Young (Former Duke Assistant Coach) and Hailey Joyner (Former Louisburg Assistant Coach). Designed for both new and experienced coaches, this clinic will cover effective practice planning, stretching routines, throwing progressions, and hitting drills that help coaches develop players while keeping practices engaging and fun.

Adult Spring Competitive & Recreational Softball Leagues - Spring I 2026

Spring Adult Softball League - 2026

Join us this spring for the Adult Softball League in Wake Forest, where players can choose between recreational and competitive leagues to match their skill level and enjoy the game at their own pace.

League Overview

• Start Date: League play begins in mid-March.
• Game Days: Mondays, Wednesdays, and possibly Thursdays.
• Game Times: Start times are 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, and 9:00 PM (1-2 games per week).
• Offering: Preseason practices, 12 game regular season, and a single elimination tournament (teams are subject to move for tournament).
• Divisions:
  • Social/Recreational League (Lower): For players seeking a casual, relaxed environment focused on fun and enjoyment.
  • Mid-Competitive League (Middle): Designed for those looking for a moderate level of competition, ideal for teams with some experience.
  • Competitive League (Upper): Tailored for more skilled players and teams, featuring high-level competition.

  Depending on team numbers, we’ll organize the league into two or three divisions to best match skill levels and ensure balanced play.

Eligibility - Participants must be 18 years or older to join.

Game Rules & Equipment

• Strike Mat: A strike mat will be used for all games.
• Balls Provided: All game balls will be supplied by the league.

Rosters and Player Add/Drop Policy

• Roster Submission: All teams must submit their rosters before the season’s first game.
• Add/Drop Period: Teams can adjust rosters within the first two weeks of the season. After this window, rosters will be locked for the remainder of the season.

Adult Co-Rec Kickball League - Spring I 2026

Spring Adult Co-Rec Kickball League - 2026

Get ready for an exciting season of kickball! This fall league, hosted in collaboration with RDU Sports, offers competitive play in a fun, community-centered environment.

Season Details

• Team and Player Registration begins February 1st
• Start Date: League play begins mid-March.
• Format: Preseason practice, 8-game regular season, followed by an end-of-season tournament to crown the league champions.
• Schedule: Games will be held on Sunday afternoons through mid to late June.
• Possible doubleheader Sundays

Location
Games will be held at Heritage High School Park’s lower fields (250' and/or 300' fields) located at 1150 Forestville Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587 or Flaherty Park field 1 or 3 located at 1100 N. White St. Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Rosters and Player Add/Drop Policy

• Roster Submission: Team rosters must be submitted before the first game and finalized prior to the end of March.
• Add/Drop Period: A two-week period for player adjustments will be available starting from the first game of the season. After this window, rosters are locked.
• Team jerseys and matching shirts with a number is needed for play.

NAYS Ready, Set, Run!® Program - Spring I 2026

READY, SET, RUN!® is a youth running initiative by the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) created for children ages 8–13. Throughout this 10–12 week program, participants will train to successfully complete a 5K while developing key life skills such as goal-setting, respect, self-discipline, and perseverance.

This program supports all fitness levels and focuses on building confidence, encouraging healthy habits, and promoting an active lifestyle in a fun, motivating, and inclusive environment.

All registered participants will take part in a 5K celebration run at the conclusion of the season during the National Trails Day 5K at Joyner Park (race day to be determined).

Join us and watch young runners grow in strength, character, and community—one step at a time!

Youth Volleyball League (Girls) - Spring 2026

We’re excited to announce our Youth Volleyball League, hosted in collaboration with Cap City Volleyball.

Eligibility and League Age

• League Age: Determined by age on September 1, 2026
• Age Verification: New participants must provide a birth certificate
• Limited Spots: Each age group has limited availability. Once full, waitlists will open.

Fees

• Wake Forest Residents: $60 (Registration opens April 1)
• Non-Residents: $100 (Registration opens April 8)
• Residency: Determined by your home address within Town limits

Team Placement

• Siblings in the same age group will be placed on the same team.
• No specific requests for teammates or coaches can be accommodated.

Practice & Game Schedule

• Days & Age Groups:
  • 10U & 12U: Monday/Wednesday
  • 14U & 16U: Tuesday/Thursday
• Practice & Game Times: 6:15 PM, 7:15 PM, or 8:15 PM

Evaluations

• Dates: May 11–14
• Details: Times/Days - TBA
  • Participation Required: All coaches & players, including coaches' children, must attend evaluations.

Season Details

• Games: 10 games + a postseason tournament
• Championship: Held on the 3rd or 4th Saturday in July

Equipment Needs

• Required: Knee pads
• Optional: Arm sleeves (helpful but not required)

Coach Requirements:

• Complete a Background Screening and NAYS Training before practices and games.
• Each team can have up to 2 coaches—no volleyball experience needed! Bring a positive attitude and leadership skills to support your team.
