Congratulations, youโ€™re all set! Now that registration is complete, the "behind-the-scenes" work begins. We know youโ€™re excited to get started, but please keep in mind that team formation is a waiting game that requires a bit of patience. 


THE TIMELINE

Registration Must Close First: We cannot begin building rosters until registration has officially closed. We need the final headcounts for each division to ensure teams are balanced and fair. 

The "Hand-in-Hand" Process: While we wait for the final numbers, we are simultaneously onboarding our volunteer coaches. Teams cannot be finalized until we have enough confirmed coaches for every group.

COACHES

Behind every great team is a great coach! Our program thrives thanks to the incredible dedication of our volunteers, and we need your help to keep the momentum going. Because our onboarding includes mandatory in-person training to ensure a high-quality experience, the process can take some time. To help us hit the ground running, please consider signing up as a Volunteer Coach for your childโ€™s team today!

TEAMS

Team formation and coach onboarding happen simultaneously. We build our rosters based on the total number of participants registered in each division. To ensure fairness and organizational efficiency, please keep the following policies in mind: 

Request Policy: We are unable to honor specific coach or friend requests, including those made for carpooling purposes. 

Play-Up Requests: With parental consent, players may request to "play up" one division (playing in a lower division is not permitted). Please submit this request in the Notes section during registration.

COMMUNICATION

Stay Informed & Get Ready! While we finalize team rosters and coach onboarding, please keep an eye on your inbox. You will receive upcoming communications from Rebecca, Monica, or Team Sideline. 

How you can help right now: To ensure you donโ€™t miss any vital season updates, please log in to your ActiveNet account and verify that contact information is accurate for each family member.

Check: First and last names, primary phone numbers, and email addresses.

Focus: Double-check the profile of the specific family member participating in our sports program!

ONCE TEAMS HAVE BEEN CREATED AND GONE 'LIVE'

You will receive a welcome email from Team Sideline (no-reply@teamsideline.com), welcoming your player to his/her new team.

If the league's practices are about to start in less than 5 days and you haven't received a welcome email from Team Sideline, and you've searched your email inbox for 'no-reply@teamsideline.com', then please fill out a Contact Us Ticket.


If you log in to Team Sideline successfully and do not see any teams listed, and practices start in less than 5 days, please fill out a Contact Us Ticket.


'Missing' teams are likely caused by a team not having a coach yet. We appreciate your patience while we work hard to find coaches to fill EVERY team. 


HELP US OUT!

Please try to avoid: Why? 
Switching teams once they have gone 'live'. We order uniforms rather early to ensure they're here in time for games. When you switch teams, you are jeopardizing the size you pre-ordered. Not all jersey colors transfer to other teams.

Sending emails directly to one person. Contact Us tickets are sent to our entire team. When you fill out a Contact Us ticket, we have several people who can help you instead of just one person, which could also potentially get lost in spam.

Leaving out information. When you submit a Contact Us ticket or click 'Contact City of Maricopa Recreation' through the Team Sideline app, please include the sport you are inquiring about, your child's FIRST and LAST name, especially if it differs from the parents' name.

When do games start? When do practices start?

   Most information about the league will be on the registration page in ActiveNet. Please visit ActiveNet (https://anc.apm.activecommunities.com/cityofmaricoparec/home), search for the sport you are interested in, and check out the dates listed on each registration page.

Where can I find a map for our practice/game location?

   Please visit our website: www.maricopateamsports.com. In the top right corner, click RESOURCES -> SPORTS MAPS -> Choose Adult or Youth Sports Maps.

Where can I find when my team practices? 

   You will need to log in to your Team Sideline account online or through the app to see your practice times and locations. These will be listed in the 'EVENTS' section of your app.
